So very disappointed you missed the pumpkin cheesecake...

I've made pumpkin cheesecake. It's much more tasty than pumpkin pie in my opinion and I dont' have to worry that my pie crust isn't as lovely as my grandmother-in-law's.

I don't like pumpkin pie because of the slimy texture... but I like the actual taste. I make pumpkin cheesecake lots and it's deeeeee-lish!

it's so good to finally meet someone that understands the way I feel about pumpkin pie!

How dare you speak of pumpkin pie in such a bad manner!!! You know there are pumpkin pie karma consequences because of these words you 2 have spoken. That is all I am saying (jk) seriously you guys are wrong, so very wrong.

It is not the pumpkin I dislike-it is the way it is prepared.  I have some great recipes that use lots of pumpkin.

I still cant get over the fact it can be used as a 'sweet thing' - Roast pumpkin and pumpkin soup or mash... sure...

But this whole pie/donut/cake thing just seems weird to me... then again I havent tried it...

Pumpkin Spice Hershey's Kisses????  Ummmm. This is information I did not need to have.  Of course right now I'm struggling with whether or not to just go ahead and eat the rest of the pumpkin fudge and get it over with or ration it out. I believe I posted this elsewhere earlier today, too, so you can see I'm really struggling with it...

How do you make pumkin into fudge? I would have thought that consistency of a root vegetable would not be conducive to rich melt in your mouth fudge?

Im soooo confused!

Well, the very bottom is a thin layer of chocolate.  And then there's the pumpkin.  It actually tastes like pumpkin cheescake, only not cold, and the consistency is firmer.  Then it has a big old layer of chocolate fudge on top, too.  Of course there were other options... she had pumpkin rocky road which probably is deee-lish and then I think straight up pumpkin sans chocolate but, frankly, she had me at "pumpkin and chocolate".  She's been talking to me about it for weeks (she is one of the spin girls and she owns her own chocolate company... http://www.chocolatejewels.com/).

I suggest you make your own Amaretto creamer.  Nothing says good morning like a little half and half and a shot of booze in your coffee.  You're welcome.

Ohhhhh, it's fabulous!!!!  I just wanted to hang out there for a little while today and take it allll in.  She had tons of cute Halloween stuff including Nutter Butters dipped in white chocolate and then decorated to look like mummies.

As for the appeal factor on the fudge... all I can say is I wish it didn't appeal to me.  Do you hear that???  It's calling to me...  hee hee

Now that's a *good* idea.

With a few shots of amaretto little bit of flavorful creamer, well, I almost wouldn't mind getting up in the morning.
