I'm back.  Its wet and cold and YUCKY here.  This is the type of day where I wish I had a fireplace to sit in front of with a good book, a blanket and a mug of coffee and baileys.

You bring the pumpkin bread with choloate chips and i can provide all of the rest!!!

Can I join?

I have 2 fireplaces, 3 bedrooms and a full liquor cabinet, you are all set!!!

Sweet! You better watch it, I'll start hanging out there and treat it like my personal country house. I'm just a short train ride away after all. Oooh! Beth can join too!

Have you set a time goal? Being my first, my goal is obviously to finish, but in my mind I need a time to aim for as well. I'm hoping a coach will help me figure out what is realistic given my abilities.

LazyMarathoner - 2008-11-14 8:35 AM Hey freaks, I did a little spreadsheet updating and will try to have a look at the end of the reporting period. We're looking pretty good but could use a little boost and there's still today and tomorrow! Great work everyone!

Today I swim.  Tomorrow, it's just over an hour of eval running and then Sun. starts my official first 20 week IM training program.

Thats awesome!  Did you get the plan from here or elswhere?  Not sure that I could ever do an IM but is fun to think/dream about.  First things first, sprint this summer. (Now I just have to find one)

From elsewhere.  My friend, who has done Kona twice, and just recently got certified with being a personal trainer, is taking me under his wing - for FREE!  The only thing is that I can be his reference when his business takes off.  NO PROBLEM HERE!

that's awesome!

Goals:
1). Finish
2). Beat my time from the last race.
*3). The aggressive goal is to hit or beat 12 hours.

I've hit 6 hours and 40+plus seconds (yeah, I shouldn't have stopped for that potty break on the turn-around) at the Spirit of Racine 1/2 IM, so, with 2 years experience and in better shape, and all the extra time I'll put in, I think it will be close.

That's awesome. I'd really love to hit 13 hours, but I need to see how winter goes with my arm and all, and if I'm able to really get my cycling improved. I'm understandably a little timid right now. Just to have the experience and finish though will be enough for me.

Hi Everyone -

Work was crazy yesterday and last night was supper out with friends so I haven't been around. I hope to be around more but it is just how it goes. Nothing new here. I am quite sore today from the abs and aerobics class I took on wednesday night. Yesterday I wasn't sore so I was pretty happy that I wouldn't and worked out last night (nothing major - just a 1 mile run, 30 min bike) but this morning my calves didn't want to move. They felt all tight and sore. The more I am walking today the better they are getting.

It is lightly snowing this morning and I have a few more days before I go home. I can't wait.

I am late but I am having the rest of a NY Strip from last night with grilled veggies (left overs from supper last night out with friends).

Yep - it is coming down pretty good. It is that time here though. We got a couple inches the other day will see how much we get this weekend. Supposed to snow today and sunday. The gang here at work tells me I need to experience everything while I am here. I think it will help me appreciate warmer and no snow activities at home.
