Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it) I worked enough this week already to not use any vacation time for my day off tomorrow. I hit the road for Saturday's HIM tomorrow, with a little stop off to say hi to my Mom on the way to Minneapolis. Robin, I'll be down for a soak in the hot tub post-race! go get em Neal.....what HIM are you racing? Liberty Triathlon in Minneapolis. It's a smaller local event, but I like it that way. I did it last year and they put on a really good race. those are the best! whats the temps there now? |

Thunder, lightning, the works. I might just crawl back into bed This sounds like a good idea. It is never good to risk running in those conditions, but if you have a race this weekend it is ESPECIALLY important to take care of yourself. Go back to bed! Oh no worries. Definitely not running now. Bed will have to wait till after breakfast. I'm STARVING! me too! what's for breakfast? |

HI! Im sorry I have not been around and I will come back ~ I PROMISE!!....just not quite ready yet! I found out in March after just returning from a 3 month visit trying to get my dads health issues in order.....that my mom had a VERY aggressive cancer so I flew back. I spent another three months there and just returned home. Happy to report that mom is about half way thru with her chemo and is doing well! but while there as if this was not enough news....I found out my sisters husband had ALS (Lou Gehrigs Disease) and has only 5 or so years to live. This was a HUGE blow to me! he is only late 50's and can not believe what he is dealing with! Please keep him (john) and my mom (Jo Jo) in your prayers..... Hope you are all doing well! I will eventually come back and try to do my best to catch up....if one of you want to send me an occasional email with a summary of activities...I would love to stay in the loop! I miss you alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll....and lord knows I need to have you in my life more then ever, but Im just not able to find the time to get online for the coming weeks.....so til then....ya'll take care and know that my thoughts are with each and every one of ya! love ya ghoulies!!!!!!!!! jules So good to hear from you Jules. Sounds like you are doing the right thing right now, spending time with family. All of you are in my prayers! Wow Jules... I certainly hope that you have some good luck coming your way soon. We are planning on meeting in Carlsbad in January for the Carlsbad HM! why that sounds like a great time! when is the cut off date for signing up...do you know off hand? I am doing the Rock n Roll HM in October and the Big Sur in Monterrey in November...so, I guess I will just keep on running in December.....woo hoo! I finally get to meet my GHOULISH FAMILY! how exciting is this!? Last year I believe it sold out in late October/early Novemberish. Registration is open and there should be plenty of time to get in there. As I recall, they actually did answer the phone when I called last fall to check on how full they were so you could always try calling too. (760-692-2900) |
