Subject: RE: Pay it forward

My not-so-trusty Timex Ironman 30-lap HRM died, and I returned it to REI and got a refund. I didn't bring along the chest strap, but they took it back anyway. So now I have the chest-strap. Anyone want it? I don't see the point in selling it, since I don't have the watch to go with it. But it seems like something someone might need a replacement for at some point. The battery in the strap is still good and there is no damage to it - I only bought the watch a year ago in May. The watch should have been water resistant up to 30 meters, but the two times I wore it in water (once the pool, once a lake), it shorted the battery and this time has killed the watch entirely. The chest strap was never worn in the water.

(Since I may forget to check back here regularly, just send me a PM)

I have two so I don't need it but if it helps one of mine works when I run on the treadmill. Do you know if yours does. It might help someone out who runs on the tread mill but might now have the watch.

Just a thought.

Not a clue - I've never worn it on the treadmill, since I always run outside, and currently don't have or need a gym membership.

I am very interested in the HR straps. I have two girls (mother and daughter) who are getting in shape and will do a biathlon and hopefully eventually a triathlon (the other daughter just did her first triathlon last weekend!). Let me know if the HR strap is available and I will send you my information.

Lake Tri Shoes, CX110, size 41.5/9.5US

I got these from this board but they are too big for me...so "Paying It Forward" x2!

They are used but still have life in them.   No cleats.

PM me if you are interested in them.

Anyone looking to get rid of a bike rack for a car? I am in desperate need and cash is tight right now, just curious and thought someone might have upgraded theirs recently. I dont have a trailor hitch so I'm looking for one that straps to the car itself. I promise to give your old/unused bike rack a happy home. Tongue out Laughing

2 Kenda 700x25c 25-622 K-152-003 tires. These are not necessarily the highest end tires, but they only have a couple of hundred miles on them.

Nike Armband for ipod nano - 2nd gen I believe.  very similar to this - http://www.overstock.com/Electronics/Nike-Sport-Armband-for-iPod-Nano-Bonus-2-pack/2552007/product.html?cid=123620&fp=F&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=10775502 and has the room for the nike + chip.  never used, but out of box.  Was a gift but ended up getting a different type of ipod.

Hey Phatnlazy: if you're gonna be at Ruskin this Sat, I can get you one, its a little different: no nike chip thing, but works with ipod nano Gen 2 and 4(new).  If it interests you, I can hand deliver.  Let me know.  PS It has reflective strips for night running.

I have two pairs of goggles that have only been used in a couple of races each.   Both are Speedo Hydrospex, one has Blue lenses and the other has Mirrored lenses.

Wow, big guy.  French? (Garceau)... it don't matter, we're all from TRILACTICA.  I suggest you check out the Clydesdale forums and threads here on BT.  You'll be amazed as to what you guys are able to pull these days with clydesdale specific everything, so, I don't ever let the weight fool me.  I'm 185LB myself, compared to hardcore trilactiocons, I am big; but not scared.

Welcome to the sport.  Sorry I can not offer anything but "words of wisdom"...

I agree, i am just getting out of the xl's that were recently "P.I.F" (pay it forwarded) Once these no longer fit I shall do the same.  If you are in need! you will get the same.  Many friends of the forum have been kind to me, and therefore i shall pass the same spirit to all who follow.  Be patient and you will be rewarded.   DON'T ASK FOR THINGS! But wait and those offering will gladly help those asking.  This is a giving not a begging website
