Wow, it's amazing the conversations you girls have in such a short time.

Beats/dogs/wine/booze/cookies/moving/stars

LOL. it's too hard to keep up with.

Cat, I don't have a beach view but i live down the road from it. Does that count? LOL

LMAO - Hector!!!

how're you feeling?

Still out of it but for some crazy reason I had to log on. By the way those enchiladas looked good. Much better then the left over pizza I just ate.

well, we're happy you're here!

and the enchiladas were good :-) not sure how they would hold up to the california expectations around mexican food, but everyone here loves them

in fact it really kind of cracks me up, but I'm sort of famous for them among my kids' friends

We have really good mexican food but I tend to eat the fast food due to my schedule. I actually need to slow down and cook a decent meal. Can you believe I eat out over 75% of the week.

actually, given your schedule, I'm not surprised at all

I actually try and do the prep work for lots of meals over the weekend and then freeze for the following week, works out pretty well

I actually only do it like once every 4 - 6 weeks - I make in the neighborhood of 20 meals, so, it's one weekend of free time sacrifced for 5 weeks of not having to worry about 'what's for dinner' - LOL

rubbing off, burning lips, authentic enchiladas and getting off (of work, of course)

Hello all, just dropping by quickly to say hello. You all have been busy posting away. I'll have to look for notes.

Just got back from the March of Dimes walk at Callaway Gardens. They have all their Christmas lights up and rather than taking the tram around to look we all walked it. Seven miles, it was raining softly, warm, humid and we had a blast. Really a lot of fun.

Nighty night. Will try to check in tomorrow.

Looks like a lot of us have updated the spreadsheet. Good job eveyone one. We are coming right along.

There's this little business down the street where you go and prepare your own food and then freeze it till your ready to cook it. I actually thought about trying it once. It's kind of cool, their menu changes every month.

we have one here and once I got past kicking myself for not having thought about taking what I've been doing for years and making it into a business I tried it out

The only caution I would have is to check the nutritional value - I found that the recipies, while tasty, tended to be very high in calories and fat

I have noticed that they are now offering a healthy menu plan as well - although, I haven't been overly thrilled about the menu options - not particularly kid friendly

I think if you calculate it out meal per meal it's very reasonably priced but I wasn't too keen on having to purchase X number of meals at once.  I'd like to be the decision-maker on that... particularly with three kids who are by no means picky eaters but they are used to my cooking .  I'd like to be able to try out just a couple and see how it goes, ya know?

For awhile it was very trendy to have parties at those places.  I am not much into "home parties" and this is just a variation on that theme so I never made it to one.
