kaqphin - 2008-10-22 9:08 PM And I do miss L&P, perky nanas, pixie caramels and Pinky bars... all of which I can only get in NZ

And hokey pokey ice cream!!!!

Then there is Sausage rolls, lamingtons, Belgian Biscuits, Eskimo Log, Tim Tams, Cherry Ripes, Roses, Redskins, Caramello Koalas, Freddo Frogs, Nutella...

Perky nanas? Pinky bars? Lamingtons? Tim Tams? Cherry Ripes? Freddo Frogs? I know Roses, at least. They grow outside on bushes. And they have thorns.... Well, the type of Roses that *I* know do, anyway.

hmmmmm

obviously I haven't gone back far enough in the thread..........................

Hi Dee!

Well looky now it is a real party in here.

Yeah, Heather, my run went funky today too 'cause of the heat ... that's okay, I stopped to eat a meal and cool down (HA HA HA! I REALLY DID!)

hehehe.... mine was short enough that I just came home and cooked
6 miles is way too long for me right now.... yeah... I'd have to stop too....

Well, SEE ... I was going to stop in at a dogwalking job and drag the dogs 'round with me, which I did, but the folks had left a note saying there were plenty of meals in their fridge and to help myself ... WHAT COULD I DO but oblige them?

Artemis - 2008-10-22 6:04 PM Hi everyone! How's it going tonight?

Hi Jen!

It was nasty hot during my run today and I was thinking of you!

Wait, that's all in a good way.

Nasty hot sounds icky for running. Here it's been kind of cold.

I think you were doing six miles or something and it was 85 or 86 out.

I did six miles today and it was bleedin' well 92 degrees.

This week it's been in the 60s for the high and around 30 or 40 when I wake up.  It's going to be cold when I run on Sunday.

you will heat up the course!

what are you going to wear?

Umm a giant Meringue but is got a soft sweet marshmellowy texture inside...

Then you cover it in cream and with fruit or in my case strawberries and grated chocolate and EAT!

For sure!!!!

Umm, but lemme tell you what is not a good thing.  Very tall man comes into the kitchen and reaches on top of the refrigerator where you have hidden so no one else can have any stored your pumpkin fudge and proceeded to eat all but one measley bite of it.  I knew I shouldn't have given him a taste earlier.  It's like crack...

I'll be holding up a sign in the middle of the road... "Will work for pumpkin fudge".  Thank goodness I have good handwriting.

Well.... either don't let very tall men into your kitchen anymore. Or else get a higher refrigerator.

Then again, you could always ask him to dust the top of the 'fridge for you.....
