Master 3479 Utah | Subject: RE: Show us your Ghoulies - Halloween Run Challenge Page #2 skrtrnr - 2009-10-13 8:00 AM thanks for all the GHOULISH WELL WISHES back from the Docs. no trip to the hospital necessary. woosh. they way my son was talking/sounding this morning i was thinking pneumonia. but, thankfully his lungs sounded clear, that it was more post-nasal drip than anything else causing his coughing. Doc said its definately viral. we just wait it out, if his symptoms worsen or the fever gets higher or lasts longer than 5 days, we should come back in for a re-check. my youngest seems OK after his dose of ibuprofen. so i guess thats it. hospital visit/stay avoided. YAY! its a TV/Movie watching laying the couch drinking Gatorade eating popsicles sipping chicken broth kinda of day. and im SO gonna be NEEDING a run when DH gets home. either a 5 miler or 45 min tempo. we'll see what im up for. caring for the kids, but staying healthy is myself is a priority, then fitting in my run wrkouts, whatever else i can manage to fit in is a bonus. not gonna stress. lots of rest. fluids. handwashing. im sure ill be back here when im goin stir crazy. :} stacieb Stacie, I am so glad to hear that all is Ok. Did they decide to test him for H1N1, even given his underlying health problems? Or did his symptoms not quite fit?
Keep washing those hands, and changing those hand towels frequently!
Vitamin D, vitamin C, some Airborne, or Emergen-C, fish oil, all that good stuff for you and for them! Oh, and don't forget the running! Running is always good! (for you, not them) |

Master 3479 Utah | Subject: RE: Show us your Ghoulies - Halloween Run Challenge Page #2 NOOOOOOOOO! The contractor that is working on our basement just stopped by. Apparently there is an inspection by the city today. I now can't leave until they have come and gone. The catch: they don't know when it is. I called the city, and all they can confirm is the day. They can't even say if it's morning or afternoon. AAAARRRRGH! (did I mention this project was started in July and was supposed to be a 3-5 week project. Oh, and the inspection is for electrical, framing, plumbing, and HVAC, and all the drywall is already up and painted? I found a prize contractor, apparently.) But on the bright side, Stacie, looks like I'll be keeping you company today. |

I didn't see it here. You know I blew right past it. I remembered it this morning and kept posting about Stacie's kiddos being sick and the Winter Weather Challenge and bam I am past 5K. Too late. Guess I have to wait for 6K. So like later this month right? |

I was out of town for the weekend so could only check in occasionally. However I did get in a run this morning. It went really well. This weekend DH and I went to the beach with friends to ride our quads on the dunes. Friday night - ST at hotel. Saturday and Sunday - rode quads on the sand dunes - my favorite! Beautiful blue skies, mid 60s, gorgeous ocean views, green hill top views, and lots of sand dunes to ride!! Definitely a Workout!! Then my jog this morning. And this evening all of the entertaining material on this thread. Whee hee!! oh yes, and a massage this afternoon. looks like you had a gorgeous day for your quad riding!!!! and a good time to be had!!! sooo how was the massage...all nice and relaxed now!?? |

I just got done reading all the pages I missed yesterday. All I can say is WOW! I am wondering though if girls can keep their hands warm in the same fashion??? Hope everyone is well so they can keep on running. I've got 3 miles planned tonight then the rest of the week may be on the dreadmill, they are calling for cold wet weather. I would rather not run in 40 degree temperature in the rain. Have a great day GHOULIES!!! ps - The chocolate fudge pop-tarts are my favorites. Cereal just gets all soggy sitting in the milk. Not sure...I use my husbands goodies to warm up! HAHA
