TJ:

Where will you be and what are you wearing this year? Only a few days after the race last year did i realize it was you in the grass skirt. I almost want to carry a camera to take a pic of all the people and signs.

I think he is racing this year

What the .....! The plot thickens. TJ find the cold water to take the water temp!!! You know you want to.

Yep I'm racing this year. #1072. Water temp dropped a little but I saw a some water movement where I was taking the temp, so the lake might have turned there. I was waiting for an official temp to show up today. If I don't see one, I'll post. Might take a second temp to be sure.

For those using the myAthlete GPS tracking:

Are you (or can you) using it for the swim? If so, can you use it under the wet suit? will it work?

Do you need to use the included belt ? or can you use your race belt (or both)????

I believe they advise you NOT to use it in the water. I used it last year and just threw it in my pocket in T1. Maybe they have new ones this year.

You can use it on either belt.

Took the bike out for a quick 2 hours yesterday. Craziest ride ever. First, a bird flew into my front wheel (ya you read that right). luckily it was small and i was on the horns so i didnt wreck. The bird however...well there were feathers everywhere.

It gets better. about 7 miles from home I'm about to ride over what looks like a stick...turns out to be a snake (alive). I ran over it AND FLATTED. thank god for co2 and a spair.

you cant make this stuff up. Mother nature is trying to crash me out of the race..

Compared to others....this really isn't bike porn....it's more of bike PG rated material.

It's not that great of a pic too.....

But here's the ride that will take me 112 miles.....112 long miles....
