kns57 - 2008-07-16 4:18 PM

I'm ready to do a little swearing. This was our wrap up meeting for the event on Saturday. Committee chairs decide yesterday we would all meet early for pizza. $5 a person. Oh, we are to all bring something else to the meeting to share.

So - She comes in with the Pizza. 4 boxes of medium pizza for 7 of us. Already way too much pizza. She charges each of us $5. I figured that comes to $35. At most the pizza cost about $44 (I looked online). We don't even get through two of the pizzas. At the end of the meeting she takes all the pizza home with her complaining that she did not collect enough from all of us to cover it so no one else can take pizza home with them. She did not contribute anything else. So...what about the money all the rest of us spent on dessert, salad, dressings, forks, plates, etc. I hope I never have to work with her on a committee again. Jeezzz.

I'm pretty sure that someone should have punched her in the crotch. That's ridiculous!

Plus she is a control freak and you can't ever tell her anything. Punch away my friend.

Ugh.  If not her, there will be someone just like her on the next committee.

Some people... well, ya know.  It's best to just avoid them at all costs.

Your July 18, 2008 pay advice will reflect the 2% Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) approved by the Library Board of Trustees, effective the pay period beginning June 29, 2008. This COLA will increase your base salary 2% unless your salary is above band grade maximum, then you will receive a lump sum payment based on 2% of your salary.

YAhoo, I'm rich, I'm rich! I can buy another cup of tea each week. LOL

hmm... Firing people???  Here's my story...

Admin and boss hire a guy who's references checked out (I think he planted them)...  we're way short handed and boss is getting ready to get married... after one week we start questioning his capabilities, after two weeks we start questioning his judgement, by week three boss is gone and I'm spending my entire day tracking this psychodrug addict and documenting... week four - I hand all documentation over to admin with recommendation that he be released... and TaaDaa... the place was clean by the time boss came back...

Now everytime the boss leaves the question is asked if there's any housekeeping.  Of course it's a joke, b/c we really do have a great team here!!!

I think I'm at a stalemate with it. We can't seem to get rid of this last bit of pain. I can tell when I've had a long day at work. I've started riding hte bike again and I'm tempted to start walking just to see what would happen. I had to cancel my appointment this week because it is so crazy at work and now my car is telling me that there is a problem with the breaks, so I think I better go do that on Friday instead of the foot. Don't ya think that is a good idea?
