It definitely sounds like they had some really good advice and pointers. Good luck on Sunday! Thanks! It really was worthwhile, plus I got to see where the race is going to be held. (Sorry but this thread just looked so sad that I had to post something today. ) Want me to go back and see if there are any topics I havent covered? Write some more epics????? Any special topic requests? hmm I think all the girls around here can answer that |

Oh come now - if you tell me your secrets, I'll tell you mine. For instance, I have way more British pop than any guy who grew up adoring hair metal and loves rock and roll should. Robbie Williams, Mika, Natasha Bedingfield, Katy Perry (I consider her honorary) and a few others are just on the little one I use at work and the gym. Even the people at work tease me that I have a gay British man living inside me somewhere. Hrm - I would say that most people are a little appalled at what's on the big Ipod that we combined our two cd collections on, especially since we have VERY different tastes in music. She's all about American Pop with some rock and I'm all about rock and the phases I was going through at the time. The only good thing is that we had VERY little overlap...maybe 10-15 albums out of a nearly a couple hundred. To be a little tri-related: In addition to embarassing songs, what do people listen to while working out? I usually run with a playlist of the good old standards of AC/DC, Metallica, Guns N' Roses, and anything else with big hair, though I do toss in some Kanye and a few other things just to keep my ears from going numb. |

Champion 23360 Taser-World | Subject: RE: Super Cats Mentor Group - CLOSED Sulcus - 2009-06-17 9:26 AM In addition to embarassing songs, what do people listen to while working out? Well.... when I swim, I don't listen to anything. (Mostly, I just keep repeating: "10...10....10" in my head, so I don't lose track of my laps!) I find that while swimming, I can let my mind wander and think about anything - as long as it doesn't involve numbers. (15-10=5.... becomes "5... 5... Wait, am I on lap 5? I thought I was on 10.) When I run outside, I don't listen to anything either. I'm busy paying attention to oncoming cars and dogs. (For some reason, people just let their dogs out, without any supervision at all.) When I work out inside though, I usually have th TV on, or I might listen to music. The music doesn't matter so much, but it needs the right "beat." (Otherwise, I s-l-o-w down. Or speed up.) |

In my younger days, people used to joke that cheese was my favorite condiment. My birthday is on Monday and I'm hoping, even though it will blow up my diet for weeks, that we do fondue. I hope you enjoy it! |

Expert 1067 Douglaston, NY | Subject: RE: Super Cats Mentor Group - CLOSED Wow - you all are really good with your food. I'm going to need to start being better and even begin tracking my food. My father and I just entered into a contest with each other over who can lose the most weight by my wedding. The loser has to pay for the hotel rooms and tickets for us to see the Red Sox play in a ballpark that neither of us has been to yet. He's already pushing for Pittsburgh so he can see the new ballpark they just built there... |

He's already down 3 lbs in the past week, though I've got to believe some of it is water weight since he just started changing his eating habits (or so I'm going to tell myself)... |
