I really don't want to do anything....I think I am having a mental depression of running on the dredmill. I am taking Nov off from running, and just cycling. do you have a path or track you can run on? try and get off the treadmill! I for one dont know how you guys do it! I think the longest I ever ran on one was 30 minutes! how about a running group...that will motivate me sometimes....as long as they are not all speedy gonzalez runners! dont throw in the towel completely....just back off and have fun with it! and as for not wanting to do anything today....now come on Lucy...run for the team...I will run in the rain...if you run your treadmill!!! you can do it girl!!! |

Doc said its definately viral. we just wait it out, if his symptoms worsen or the fever gets higher or lasts longer than 5 days, we should come back in for a re-check. my youngest seems OK after his dose of ibuprofen. so i guess thats it. hospital visit/stay avoided. YAY! its a TV/Movie watching laying the couch drinking Gatorade eating popsicles sipping chicken broth kinda of day. and im SO gonna be NEEDING a run when DH gets home. either a 5 miler or 45 min tempo. we'll see what im up for. caring for the kids, but staying healthy is myself is a priority, then fitting in my run wrkouts, whatever else i can manage to fit in is a bonus. not gonna stress. lots of rest. fluids. handwashing. im sure ill be back here when im goin stir crazy. :} stacieb good news Stacie!!!! thanks for the speedy update!!! have a good run! |

Did they decide to test him for H1N1, even given his underlying health problems? Or did his symptoms not quite fit?
Keep washing those hands, and changing those hand towels frequently!
Vitamin D, vitamin C, some Airborne, or Emergen-C, fish oil, all that good stuff for you and for them! Oh, and don't forget the running! Running is always good! (for you, not them) gald you clarified the the her running not the kids! haha |

The contractor that is working on our basement just stopped by. Apparently there is an inspection by the city today. I now can't leave until they have come and gone. The catch: they don't know when it is. I called the city, and all they can confirm is the day. They can't even say if it's morning or afternoon. AAAARRRRGH! (did I mention this project was started in July and was supposed to be a 3-5 week project. Oh, and the inspection is for electrical, framing, plumbing, and HVAC, and all the drywall is already up and painted? I found a prize contractor, apparently.) But on the bright side, Stacie, looks like I'll be keeping you company today. Boooo! That sounds worse than waiting for the cable guy depends on if he (the cable guy) is HOT or not! I can look, ya know!!! |

Started new block today with introductory bacteriology and virology. Yay it seems so fitting considering the flu season has descended! We got a big notice to not come to class if we are sick...the Faculty is trying to avoid everyone in medicine getting sick!!! I think we are all going to think we are sick once we are done with this block...haha Haven't really decided what I'm going to do at the gym today....hmmm...i think I might do a quick recovery run on the treadmill and then some stat biking...thats my plan right now...we will see...I might as well go to the gym rather than wait in my car in rush hour around the university area. YAY! This afternoon I get to sit in a dark lecture theatre which is like 30 degrees C right now and watch a movie ...how many people do you think are going to be awake at the end of that? I'm going to go get myself a ginormous coffee!!! |
