Ok, I will officially stop with the serial posting.  Aside from watching Nikita's head (fell off a bike 2 days ago and couldn't remember anything from a previous day and a half-lots of ER excitement), which is my primary mission, obviously, the rest of the day was dedicated to tracking our two IronPeeps.... now that mission is done, I'm going to bed

Lena,  you are a hoot!  I did enjoy reading your posts..

I will get a race report in a few days, but a short recap is as follows.

Up at 3 AM, throwing up at 3:30 AM, miserable day of racing to follow.  Contrary to my time splits, I didn't over do it on the bike, I followed my plan to a tee, racing to maintain a certain HR and nutrition plan and accomplished that.  I must have started the day with a huge deficit in the nutrition due to the throwing up.  Started cramping around mile 90 on the bike and had to nurse my way in after that.  When I realized I would not hit my time goal, I just lost all drive and had to be made to continue by my wife and kids.  Glad they were there to push me. 

I got to meet Ironkat before the race, we were in the same hotel, so I went to her room to meet her.  Super nice lady. And a great husband to boot!  I spoke to her on the run a couple of times and again at the finish line.  KTC, you did a wonderful job in your first Ironman, proud of you!

Thanks to all of you for thinking of us on our day and keeping us in your thoughts and prayers.

Oh yea, what about the LITTLE CAESAR'S PIZZA guy winning the race?  Cool huh?  Got to meet him and get pictures before and after the race.  Not only did he win, but he won in the hometown of Papa John's pizza AND Pizza Hut! 

You guys crack me up! 

Can't believe 24 hours ago I was named an Ironman, I think I am still in shock.  We made the long drive home today as I was feeling better then we anticipated, but we did stop a lot so I could stretch.  

Yesterday was a hard day, and I raced my race and didn't care about my times.  Race report will come later.

This weekend was a treat as I got to meet both Billy and Amy!  They are both great people and I was so lucky to meet them.  Billy, sorry I wasn't quite myself when we saw you last.

It was soooo cool how I met Kathy!  I was actually helping her in the changing tent and we were chattin it up and she suddenly stops and says, "Are you Amy?"  I looked at her and said "yes....who are you?"  She said "I'm Kathy."  I was like WOW!!!  Then we were all excited and had to hug....it made it so cool!  There were a lot of us working in the changing tent and how awesome is it that I actually grabbed Kathy to help!  It fired me up and I wasn't even racing.  So I hope it put a lil pep in her step as she set out for the run.  She asked about Billy and I said, "Oh don't you worry about finding Billy.  He will find you on that run course believe me!"  And he did!  I also told her I was wouldn't have been surprised to see him in the women's changing tent!  LOL  Sadness=I didn't see Billy!  

He's an Ironman x2!  YAY!!!

I had a wonderful weekend of relaxing the mind and the body.  I think I am finally ready to start training again.
