I've been running with my a$$ fairly visible for some time now apparently. Gheez. Sorry. I thought you were trying to get them just right in case you had to post your assatar. My bad. No assatar posting for me. I've logged in 10 so far. I'm kind of hoping Neal goes down. If we were the kind and generous types, we'd give him a pass on the basis of injury.....but we're not. And since Bill appears to be back on his running game, it's gotta be Neal or Tom. Yeah... I agree on the no free pass. Sorry Neal. I wouldn't mind seeing either Neal or Tom's assatar. I'm just sayin'. ![]() So, only one Ghoulie has to show their assatar? Only one. Bill disagrees with this, but IMHO it is more motivational for everyone of only the last person has to do it. If you fall behind there is still hope. If everyone but the top person has to do it I don't see as much motivation. That's just my thinking though. then I need to get my a$$ in gear. LOL I figured that I had no hope. Edited by kns57 2010-08-09 9:55 AM |

Pro ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() So a mildly amusing tale for your benefit. Ran into a friend during my long run this weekend. She's doing her first HIM in a couple weeks - Timberman. It's in NH, so she's been looking for every tough hill on her bike to get prepared. One evening last week she was *creeping* (her words) up a particularly tough one and all of a sudden felt a huge jolt forward. A guy had come up behind her and grabbed her saddle and was propelling her up the hill. He told her she looked like she needed a bit of a push. Once they got to the top, he took off. Apart from the potential for a heart attack, I thought this was freaking hilarious. |

But now that I have remembered, during the bike of the half this one guy and I were yoyoing a bit during some of the climbs. I would take him on the climb and he would take me on the flat...this happened about 3-4x. He would have had a very nice assatar. I distinctly remember thinking "he has a nice azz"...funny where your mind goes during a race, isn't it? I thought the whole reason we raced was for the BOOTY! |

So you're taking Neal, with the injured groin, shopping for a new bed? Isn't that considered cruel and unusual punishment? Well he will eventually heal... |

Of course, I can never figure out how to do this without having an accident, let alone the heart attack. |

Yeah, I'm getting used to it. Frank is looking into getting a CB on it for me so that we can communicate when on the seperate bikes. Everyone else on the ride Saturday had a radio. I was silent all day. No radio for music and no CB for the chatting or ride directions. I was very tired at the end of the day. Felt like I'd done a race. |

According to my garmin I burned almost 2,000 calories during the race. I didn't eat much more than usual. Could it just be water retention? |
