Man, I can't run at night.  My night vision is shot.  Once it gets dark I'm relegated to the treadmill.

Then again....I could probably follow you and be able to see.  Laughing

I believe it. I have a good deal of green glowing apparel and still get a lot of last second swerves. It's not a matter of visibility for these ones, but of perception and recognition. They're just not paying enough attention and simply will not react to something until it gets close enough. Always be on your toes.

You need fairy lights and tinsel and maybe an angel or star on your head then they would see you - oh and I got great fluro pink compression socks which I'm sure would work.

Happy B-day... amazing how as we age, what we consider having a good time on our birthday changes huh?

For me - I did an 11 mile Birthday run (it's my new tradition).  My birthday run always ends at Qdoba so I can have a big a** Birthday Burrito, some Nacho's and Beer.

That's badass!

Is this a build run for you?  Are you building up for a 100 miler?  What does a "recovery" run look like for you after a run of this distance.

Nice work.  You gotta love the long runs that put you into another state.    I'll occasionally venture into NC on a long bike ride, but can't imagine ever feeling the need to run 26.3 or farther.

3 mile Easy Treadmill run for me today.  A bit late in the evening, and after a late dinner to boot, so I felt a bit bloated, but otherwise legs were feeling great.  Had to resist the urge to open up the pace a bit.  Not something that happens too often, so a nice run.

I am traning for a 50 miler in 6 weeks and I am going for a 10 mie recovery when I get out of work this afternoon. I may do a 40 mile run in a couple of weeks butthat'll be the longest training run I'll do for the 50 miler. If this 50 miler goes well I plan on a 100 miler in the fall.

I feel rely good this morning too, not really sore at all.

So I'm guessing a marathon is relatively "easy" for you huh?  How many miles per week do you run?

lol, nothing about running a marathon is easy, I run them hard. I have been running 50-65 per week until I started training for this 50 miler. I am trying to stay above 70 per week until taper time and have been able to manage that for the last few weeks. This week I'll be at about 93 miles after my run later today.

Day 389 with a 8.1 mile recovery run. I was going for 10 but a cold rain started so I cut it 2 miles shorts. I still managed to run 90.6 miles this past week.
