Coincidentally, I got an email this past week from a girl from high school - I never really even said a word to her through h.s. No idea how she got my email. Yet she wanted to be my "friend". So I created an account and got about 6 more friend requests since then. Again, high school people who even after I checked out the yearbook, still don't know who they are.

Heh heh, welcome to the world of triathlon. Initiation is a beyatch. Funny writeup. We've all been thru that type of stuff. Except the ben-gay. At least now I understand why it ended up there. |

Master 2339 somewhere over the rainbow | Subject: RE: Team Horny Melons (Four-Is-More Challenge) myspace is (in my opinion) trashier than facebook, but there's no way i'd let MY kids have one either. i've only had one for the last few months, as someone emailed me and i set up an account like walt, (i found you by the way) i like to play word games, and parking wars and stuff like that on there, and i've reconnected with (randomly) a group of people i went to europe with in 1993. LOL man i feel old right now!! LOL |

New user 61 | Subject: RE: Team Horny Melons (Four-Is-More Challenge) Man, I can't even keep up with this thread. Team Chatty was no joke, I see. Anyway, just checking in here. I'm fighting a minor knee injury, which is making my running pretty miserable at the moment. Any faster than 12:00 pace and the knee starts screaming at me, and I can't actually maintain 12:00 pace without regularly running into the front of the treadmill. I guess I'll have to get used to it if I'm going to make it through the month. Other than that, got a 45 minute swim planned for later, and my first yoga session (I'm slacking there, sorry guys). Oh yeah, go Melons! YAY #1!!!! |

One of these days I may make it to the 21st century....what's this newfangled device, the "Sell Phone" or something? i NOTICED you didn't have a photo up! naughty naughty!! and after all the pics we chicks have posted on here (well, ok, it hasn't ALL been the chicks ) i'll send you an invite to some of the games i play on there. (parking wars is my favorite) you can pick and choose what interests you. and i cant' really laugh at you too much with your "sell" phone. as i've only had one for about two weeks. LOL well. that's not entirely true, i HAD one, for maybe 6 months, but it was in my pocket and i dropped it in a toilet, and i never really bothered getting a new one until VERY recently. mostly because dh was tired of not knowing how to get in touch with me when i was out. |

Champion 7931 Sequim, Washington | Subject: RE: Team Horny Melons (Four-Is-More Challenge) Hey folks. I'm taking a little break. I'll get my race report started, but I don't know my times yet. I bought a watch for my last race, but I never remember to start the chrono and mark the laps. As soon as the results are up online I will post my RR. Also, I got up at 3:15 this morning to get going for my race. I think that I will be taking a nap shortly.

Champion 7931 Sequim, Washington | Subject: RE: Team Horny Melons (Four-Is-More Challenge) Alright-I promised a wetsuit photo so here is a shot from this morning. Some random person took it for me. Next time I will get a profile shot so you can see how skinny I look in my wetsuit. Personally, I don't like this photo, but a promise is a promise. Unfortunately the resolution sucks and I apparently don't know how to post it correctly.
BTW- It is fairly obvious that it's not a tri suit. It is a Harveys diving suit from the mid-eighties. I like it alot, except it takes way to long to get it on and off. But it only cost me twenty-five dollars so I'm not complaining. When the suit was new it would have cost at least $250. Edited by mchally 2008-09-07 7:34 PM |

Champion 7931 Sequim, Washington | Subject: RE: Team Horny Melons (Four-Is-More Challenge) Hey-where is everyone??? I put up my race report. I did a lot better than I expected. Came in 68/302 overall and 9/30 in my age group. My strongest leg turned out to be the swim. I came in 5th in my age group and 29th overall. I was only 1 second behind the fourth AG finisher. You can see the rest on my RR. The swim time is a little strange in that you have to run quite aways before you cross the timing mat. |

But Sunday afternoons is like the only time I have time off and available. So I am going to take a nice easy bike ride and maybe hit the pool a lliittlle bit at 11:00. See you guys when I get back. If anyone is actually here. Great just noticed a hole in my bike shorts. Good thing nobody is drafting off me cause it is right on my butt. |

That rockin' vintage wetsuit is a couple of sizes to small and takes about four inches off my waist line=less drag. |

Elite 2443 Athens, Georgia | Subject: RE: Team Horny Melons (Four-Is-More Challenge) Morning Melons. I was bad last night and trained probably too early but I would rather be sore than fall behind on the challenge/training for my race. I am getting there on the swimming but I am going to have to get in gear on my bike and put some serious miles in. Good thing about my increased swimming is I can see some nice results in my arms and shoulders. Was hoping to do the same with my abs this month with the core abs workout part of the challenge but there is no way that is happening now with my ribs. Funny little note. When my four year old heard that her Daddy had broken ribs her reply was. MMMM I love ribs. |
