I'm sitting at a proper computer, thank you very much. Sometimes I'm semi-normal.

So finally today I will get in some miles. If my foot and leg agree, I'll go 5. If they are acting up, I'll just do 3 and save it for tomorrow. Since I took the whole week off (slacker) I may add a couple at the end of the 10-miler at a slower pace. This was supposed to be my 20-mile weekend but injury force me to scale back

Don't do more than 2 miles before your race, even that.  It's not worth it.

I can't deny it. We split another bottle when I arrived, but at least there were 4 of us! I was up a wee bit late

I see the race more as a training run so a few miles can't hurt. But if you'd rather me sit around and pad...

Even if it is a training run, you still want to be somewhat fresh for it.
