I'm at work right now. Thinking of what to pack and what I need to wash still. Still pondering which pair of trishorts to wear on race day. I have one that is cushier but not as comfy on the run. Should I just change in T2? Ugh... should I carry an extra tire? A blowout would suck. Decisions decisions...

All I know is I can't wait to take off tomorrow morning. I painted my GF's nails last night with little Texas Flags. Haha they came out pretty good if I say so.

I'm so anxious. I can't wait!

Lionel....think long, think wrong. I've made the decision to change at T1 and T2. I will be no where near the podium (unless you count finishing in 16+ hours and walking by the podium on my way out) so comfort is my goal.

Anyone checked in yet? What are we getting? What's the schwag? Pics?

Bag, Cap, timing strap, plastic license plate frame.  Didn't go around to any of the booths to see about additional swag, as it was raining.

Here are the bags. The tri/bike jerseys and shorts are pretty sweet as well. Looks like a blue and white theme this year.

I also picked up my bag and saw my favorite run coaches at the Newton tent. Did I miss something, or do we not get a shirt this year?

Another issue - NO IMTX specific hat or visors this year! All just generic mdot.

Yeah I just noticed that the bottom of the # bib states your t-shirt size. It must be a finishers shirt. Hopefully the finisher hats are WAY better than the ones they gave out at Texas 70.3.

I was a little disappointed in the merchandise tent.  I did like the colors of the bike kits, but the t-shirts, and event-specific items seemed a little sparse.  Maybe it will seem better on Saturday night.

Most expensive shirt you will ever get. Factoring in all the cost of this race.

All checked in and chilling at the hotel. Tons of rain on my 9 hr drive. Since i got a late entry my name isnt listed on any of the IMTx merchandise, Saved some money there but immediately lost it when i picked up a sweet new helmet at the expo. Giro Air Attack w/ shield. My advantage 2 was dying, perfect timing. Travel safe.

Since I'm not racing I was wondering what my $600 backpack would look like when I pick it up tomorrow. Laughing

I was staying at a hotel between the woodlands and hobby airport. Room was supposed to be non smoking. It was so smokey that I had to leave. Got my refund and spent the next couple of hours searching. Now in a nice room off of 45. I flatted yesterday too. Getting all the badness out before Saturday. Sleep well. -Chris #2037

I think you meant Bush airport.  Hobby is about 50 miles away from The Woodlands. Laughing

Hi BTexans! I am going to ride tomorrow morning but want to get a little outside of the Woodlands (preferrably still on the course) to avoid traffic, etc. Was thinking of driving up to the area around Mile 15 of the course near the golf course. Would this be a good place to go? Was trying to stay within like a 10 mi radius or so of the Woodlands. Thanks!

unfortunately, my wife could only obtain a flight into Hobby due to kids and time. I'll pick her up Friday night, and just get up a bit early to get to transition. Early here is nothing like the 3am wake up to catch a ferry at NYC.
