I'm back from a VERY long weekend with my family.  I blew off my morning run because I was not back into the swing of things yet.  I had hoped to run on the indoor track (in the air conditioning) this evening.  About the time I was getting ready to run, a nice little storm rolled through dropping the temp to a very comfortable level to run outside.  5.5 miles in the books!

Seems I have some bad newsFrown. That nagging groin pain is a strained hip abductor muscle. It happened before my race, and the race just made it worse apparently. Bummer. Unfortunately I will have to pull out of this challenge. It will best for me to take a break from running for a few weeks. But have no fear! I will be back! In fact tomorrow I am off to the gym to get back to my strength workouts! I can keep swimming as long as I stay freestyle and limit my kicking and biking we'll have to check that out once some of the soreness goes away. I can tell you this, it's a weird place to try and ice!

Just a short break! I promise!Wink

Someone shoot me. Please.  MY friend gave me a lovely tri bag. I love it. I mean I can get my entire workout gear for the week in it! It's really not so good when you actually leave the bloody thing at work! I didn't run yesterday at all. But do not fear! CAPTAIN FAST PANTS IS HERE! I WILL run today! Looooooooooong one.  I have a half marathon coming up and I feel so undertrained!  I am so gonna poop myself.
