no its not stinky WILD THING feet and you know what.

its uber yummmy curry honey chicken.  and oh.  so.  easy.  to.  make.  [told ya im on a cooking/recipe JAG]

heres the recipe:

Ingredients

8 frozen chicken breasts (Approx. 2 lbs)
    1/3 cup honey
    1/3 cup canola oil
    1 Tbsp Curry powder
    1 Tbsp Dry Mustard
    1 tsp salt

Directions

Preheat oven to 325F

Mix honey, oil, and spices together until well blended

Arrange the chicken in a pan (a lipped cookie sheet works well) and coat with sauce. Bake for 30-40 minutes or until the chicken is done. Bake time will vary largely based on how thick your chicken is. If the packaging has instructions, follow those bake times.

Number of Servings: 8

if it tastes as good as it smells, it gonna be a delish lunch.

cant wait. cant wait.  cant wait.

Good point about the Ailing AZZ.  Maybe I should ask EPB for a rub down on my Ailing AZZ?  Think I would get slapped Wink

I just hope it gets better because on my site visit yesterday it flared up while just walking around a nursing home.

How do you explain to a client I need about 2 minutes to stretch my ITB out real quick or I am going to start crying from the pain?

QUESTION GHOULIES.

im planning on running the PGH 1/2 IN MAY.

i was wondering, what should i maintain as my long run/base through the winter?

i was thinking 6-8 miles.

does that sound 'reasonable'?

last winter i was (re)building my base after my injury ie starting over from a BIG FAT ZERO so this winter maintenance/base trng is new to me.

RUN TOM RUN!

stacieb

OK, I'm back. That was a tough run. Not sure why, but I just didn't feel like I had much in the tank. Still, I think I did an OK job of "tempo-ing" it and even though the hill at mile 3 REALLY slowed me down I pushed as hard as I could through it and still had enough for a hard 1/2 mile downhill push on the home stretch.

I think what really did me in was that it's a lot more humid here today than usual so I was a bit overheated. I even had to take off the t-shirt and expose my poor neighbors to my distinctly Scandinavian torso complection. Hopefully noone got too blinded. Fortunately I was able to cool down fairly quickly once I got my hands on some water thanks to our discussions from last month

I definitely thought of you guys when I was pushing up that hill though, between all of your nagging injuries, ailing familyies, crappy weather, and all the other obstacles faced by the Ghoulie nation. Talking to you guys makes me very thankful for the good things I'm able to experience every day. Thanks a million Ghoulies...

Please take this advice with a HUGE grain of salt since I'm still very new to all of this, but it sounds very reasonable to me as long as you're still running at least 3 times per week. Even Hal's "intermediate" plan starts with a "long" run of 5 miles in week one. I'm currently using this plan and my long run to date is nowhere near 8 miles.

kudos to you for sticking it out...[and cooling down the goodies post-haste.  ]

im glad us GHOULIES were able to assist getting your SCANDINAVIAN AZZ UP that hill.   [im assuming that part is just as....SCANDINAVIAN.  tee heee]

i TOTALLY VALUE your opinion TOM!  so thanks so much for the feedback.

my thought process was 'similiar'

i came into the 1/2 MARY training (Hals of course) at week 3-4.  the long run was 6 miles...

i want to be able 'pick up' where i left off, w just a little 'advantage' heading into my 1/2 come MAY.

this way, ill only need to build in 4-5 weeks in prep for my Half this go round.

Sounds smart to me. Will it be the same course in May that you did a couple weeks ago? How hilly is the Burgh anyway? I imagine the scenery is very nice around there, but I don't know anything about the terrain except for the 3 rivers.

it wont be the same course, DAGNABIT, but pretty similiar...from all accounts flatter than the course i just ran, as if THAT was possible.

i thought the Spirit course was pretty darn flat...course, what i trained (and will continue to train on) was MUCH hillier.

on the Spirit course, the hills were the grades going up and on to the bridges.  there were 3 bridges in the Spirit course...i think there are at least 2 on the PGH 1/2 course.

as for the terrain, generally, it is VERY hilly everwhere except downtown/down by the rivers...and these races were/are run close to downtown, so you have the advantage of the 'flats' next to the rivers (yes, all three of them)

but generally speaking, runners/triathletes from here, always say that pretty much anywhere else they go to race its MUCH EASIER because what we train on day to day is soooo DANG hilly.  [not that there arent areas, a lot hillier, but....]

i know my friends from uber flat OHIO were whining that the Spirit course was HILLY.

i just laughed at them.
