It's been a cloudy week here so far.  Only a little sprinkle yesterday morning, but not as hot as last week.  I'm definately seeing my power come up from climbing this hill every morning.  So far 4 days this week.  Not sure about tomorrow as I may want to rest for Sundays race.

I would think that if you turn the bearings by hand, any notchiness or noise means they're shot.  They should be smooth and silent.

I got 4 commutes in this week in some light rain.  First day it rained I was caught without my fenders too!

I finally got back on track with the commutes this week.  Made it 4 out of 5 days.

I got in a total of 9 commutes in for June which puts me at 13 for the two months. I also rode in today for my second (and last) for this week.

Bill, nice to see you got your BB issues taken care of and have built up some spare parts and tools in the process

My progress so far is 11 commutes for 370 miles through June 30th. Getting HOT in Vegas so I've skipped a few commutes and just did a pre-work rides.

Last week was 4 days of commuting with a mixed bag of weather.  The new shift cables are working great, and the housing was far easier to replace than I thought it would be.

This weeks been wet so far, but I took the bike to work everyday.  Getting used to riding in the rain, but still don't like descending in the rain.  It looks like the weather is getting sunny and warm again so this week will be 5 for 5.

You're not having much luck with your spokes there Bill.

I've sluffed it this past week and only 1 commute. This week I should get in 2.

Bill, I think you should just invest in some HED 3's to use for commuting (and racing).  You may come out ahead in the long run
