Mid week roll call. How's everyone doing?
My stats:
Swim 61% done
Bike 79% done
Run 54% done

On another subject - has anyone heard from Languid_Scribe? She hasn't logged anything in a while. Hoping she's okay.

I'm in a bit of trouble with my swimming. Pool was closed last week and will most likely be closed for the remainder of the week. I still have about 8 swim hrs. to go this month, and pool access down here is a complicated issue. I'm sure I'll figure something out even if it means swimming twice a day once the pool opens (my swimming sucks anyways).

I was surfing the web yesterday looking at country stats and stuff like that (I'm moving to Australia next year) and was very pleased to find Canada ranked consistently among the top 5 countries in the world in most categories! Inhabited by people like you guys, no wonder Canada is such an amazing country.

GO CANUCKS!!!!!

So I went for a short run yesterday and my toe felt pretty good, so it looks like I'm going to be clear for training without any problems.  I sat down last night and revisted the last half of my planned training for the month such that I finish my goals in all of the areas.  I think that I can still make it but it's going to be by only a minute or 2 in each sport.

Right now I'm sitting at:

Swim - 44%
Bike - 58%
Run - 51%

Cheers

James

With a swim scheduled tonight.

My bike is behind because long work hours caused me to miss 2 rides.
I'm trying to catch it up. Still a little over 1hr behind my intended pace.
Work has almost settled down now.

The others I should be ok, I am still on my planned pace.

I have a canoe race this weekend. Does that count towards anything?

my stats are ok but i feel behind on my bike time. Maybe it's because it's so nice outside and i can't find time to go for a ride!

swim:52%
Bike:51%
run/walk:80% (inflated because of the walks with my neibor but have to count them because shins hurt).

I'm in better shape than I realized, with respect to my goals:

Swim = 97%

Bike = 56%

Run = 100%+

I've had a bit of an adjustment moving outside with my bike.  On the trainer I could ride after the kids were in bed, at 4:30AM, whenever...now, daylight factors into the picture and it's a bit more challenging.  If the weather holds, I will get in a long ride Saturday, and then let's hope it REALLY holds for my 62 mile next Sunday.  If it turns icky, I will be back on the trainer for sure to meet my goal!

I wish I could help you but I don't think adjusting our goals down at this point in the month would be permitted. Otherwise every team member on every team would hit 100% and then it wouldn't be much of a challenge?
Pick your head up - do your best and see how close you can come to 100%. You might surprise yourself.

Sounds like we are all in the same boat.  My main threat this month is my run.. no surprise there.  Its my least favourite.  Lets just keep working towards our goals and see how far we can get.  Go team!

Great job James!

As of this morning I am at:
Swim 75% done (3475 meters to go)
Bike 79% done (16 km to go)
Run 61% done (32 km to go)

Bike should be done this weekend (unless we get snow which is a possibility).
Swim will be finished next week this time.
Run will be finished on the last day of the month if I follow my schedule.

Have a great weekend everyone!

956min Bike (430 complete, 45%)
478min Run (286 complete, 59.8%)

My swim and run on on schedule, with 100% finish very likely.

My bike however, is now almost 3hrs behind.
I'm trying to make it up, but it may not happen. I set a very aggressive bike goal (for me) for the month, and then missed 2 rides due to working OT. That's hard to recover from. But I am tri'ing!!

Hey people,

As of right now it's going to be close for me.  I set my goal based on my month training load and this toe thing has really thrown me off.  I made up a revised plan to try and make lost time, but I've missed a lot of running and I don't want to push it because I want the toe to feel ok for the my first race on Sun.  I'm pretty sure that I'll make the bike and swim goals but the run is going to be close.  I'll give it everything I got, short of forcing an injury upon my self.

Cheers

James

with math not being my strong point this is what I figure I have left to accomplish

Swim: 93 mins

Run: 55 mins

Bike: 240 mins

The swim and run I will get done with out any problems.  The bike, on the other hand, might cause me some trouble.  I still have 4 hours left to do.. thats a lot of time in the saddle for me.  I guess I'll just try to do 2 x 1.5 hours early on in the week and then finish up whats left towards the end of the week.  I'll do 2 x 20mins running with my 5km on Sunday and that will get me over 100%.  Swimming I'll get done over 3 workouts, maybe 2 if I am feeling good.  Sheesh, this challenge stuff is really helping to keep me on track.  Its getting to be crunch time team, lets do this!
