Hidden logs?  Don't ask me.....I'll look.  Probably just marked some box I wasn't suppose to.  Thanks!

Okay, I think I fixed it.....I had the "friends only" button checked for some reason....especially strange since I lost my list of friends about a month ago when I was messing around with my profile settings.  Guess I kind of excluded myself from everyone.  I'll just add you all to my friends list and then it will be taken care of one way or the other.

Work and the evil commute is denying me the ability to get out on the roads after work. Bumming me out....so it was back on the trainer again for Stage 5. 60 minutes later and a short run with the dog and I am toast. Logged my 6th day of 21. The legs are actually starting to feel okay about this daily riding....go figure.

Want to send props to everyone on the E2 team. We are going to win this thing...as long as we can get our one participant out of the starting block....never mind, Jennifer has 3 rides in since Sunday.....Willie, check it out!

have a great evening and "see" y'all tomorrow.

Jimi

I just spent the past hour at my LBS having adjustments done on my fit. Although I spent probably 40-45 minutes of that time on the trainer, I'm not counting it as a ride...

  • ..however, I just wanted to share the shop is almost exclusively an Orbea dealer and they have pictures of the Euskaltel-Euskadi team all over, along with a few jerseys. The guy who does my fitting is leaving on Monday to fly to Europe to watch the Pyranees stages of the TdF.

  • Anyway, on to my riding(or lack thereof), I've got a light ride planned tomorrow and a race on Sunday. I think gaiaserver is already up to 20 or 30 rides!

    Cool Bike! Cool

Well I slept in this morning, so I had to swap my bike and run around.  So I ran before work instead of riding.  Just after 3 miles I suddenly got a stabbing pain in my hip flexor, and I've barely been able to walk since.  (You can read more in my blog).

It's eased somewhat, but I'm definitely off it for at least a couple days.  It's a strain just to stand up straight right now. Frown

That was an exciting stage and E-E was well represented. That climb looked impossible...

Ride three in the books. It was a short one because I'm racing tomorrow, but I wanted to get the blood flowing. I feel really good for tomorrow...

Hey everyone!  Just a reminder to post by Monday night your total number of the rides for the week - from Saturday, 7/7 to Sunday, 7/15.  Also include your total time and number of types of rides - 1) Flat or Rolling, 2) Mountain or Hill, or 3) Time Trial.

I'll send it off to Cat after everyone checks in! Smile

Follow up reminder - although it looks like Willie05 is on to it! Reporting is on Monday so Willie05 can get the results to me on Tuesday for an update on Wednesday.

Nb: Willie05 either post them in the team leaders thread OR email them to me... whatever is easiest!!

Also feel free to mention any of the teams personal achievements to so they can be included in the update

This week it's going to be tough for me to get in my rides. I'm packing up and moving back to Texas so it's going to be a very busy week.

I went out for a 40 mile LSD today and ended up doing a 10 mile warmup and a 10 mile sprint for my life.

I got caught in the middle of a very heavy lightning storm, and it was not a good experience. I did learn that even at my top speeds, I can't outrun a storm front. Well, it came in from the side, but still.

Read about it in my blog...this one goes down as a TT type ride.

Hi - there has been a few requests in the last 24 hours to STOP posting live TDF updates in team threads. This is due to a lot of people wanting to watch the action later in the day WITHOUT knowing the results.

Would enough people be interested in taking the live action related discussions to another thread out of the team threads to avoid this issue? Team leaders can you please let me know?

I must admit Im probably the most guilty of this as I genuinely want teams to know whats happening with their pro counterparts to really get into it... and with me watching it live til 2am then heading straight it bed I get REALLY excited and post results...

But... its more a time difference related head spin. I totally understand having to delay watching the action... I know not everyone can devote their whole life to TDF action for a month!

    So my suggestion... is this....

    1) No results from the previous nights stage will be posted in any Team thread until the next days stage starts... giving everyone 24 hours to watch the action or at least KNOW what to expect

    2) Set up a seperate TDF Challenge - Live Action thread for teams to talk about their pro riders... (if there is enough interest)

    3) If teams are happy to have stage updates posted in their Team thread let me know and I will continue - otherwise 24 hour code of silence applies to EVERYONE taking part in the challenge

    What do you all think?

Ok as I mentioned earlier I have set up a thread to discuss the results of your team in the tour... its in the challenge forum and I suggest you use it to talk about the teams successes and make sure everyone else see's it!!

As I suggested earlier there is to be no talking about the previous stage in team threads UNTIL the next stage commences.... (24 hours ish)

Please get in on the action its been very entertaining so far, and remember to take it in the spirit of fun and team spirit it is intended.

    Happy Cycling

OK, E2 team, we are in last place for the Challenge. Not by much but let's all get out and post some rides. (I am shaking a warning finger at myself most of all. But promise more riding this week. Just hope for more cooperative weather.)

Happy to hear OrbeaMan/Andrew is still in one piece and not electrically charged after his scary ride.
