Who's riding today?

You are... right??

How's the sunburn?

Not on the schedule, but if you promise to break out the pink whip....

It's more of a pale man's tan really.  What would be a little light tanning for someone not white as snow.  I'm still feeling the effects of that crosswind yesterday to feel anything else anyway.

Good riding today, mila.

I'll break out the whip soon enough, my dear.

It's awfully quiet around here (except for me talking to myself, of course).

Yes, but at least you have people eavesdropping on you talking to yourself.

I'll be rolling my legs out in a Spinning(R) class here at World Headquarters tonight. (I love saying that. Makes it sound like we're a spy company or something. Actually, as far as trademark violations go, we kind of are).

Oh, and riding my bike around town like I always do.

Oh look, ibuprofen! Need some. I'm in perfect shape after the sprint, surprisingly--pleasantly sore is how I'd put it.

Some blame the doping.  I lay the blame on the fact that the ladies weren't on pink bikes.

Hello Pinky Peeps....

Thanks for the inspires in wishing my leg well.  I'm gonna try and hop on a stationary here at work later and see how it all feels.  I've been putting a hot rice bag on it at night and then trying to stretch it out.  I actually feel asleep with the bag on it last night.

Hopefully the time will start accumulating tonight.

Goal is to get some road tires for my mtn bike by the end of the week, the weather here right now is just too nice to be inside.

Hey Heather!

Glad to hear from you.  Be careful with that leg... and I understand the nice weather thing.  It's sunny and 74 degrees today.  Way too nice to stay inside.

74!!!!!  I'm excited that it's in the 40's...  Of course that's all supposed to change with the storm.  It's been crazy 40's one day and high 50's the next.

Yup.  Well the arms and legs anyway.  I love the "cyclists tan" and was really glad to get outside and work on it.

Ok, so that wind I was whining about was child's play.  We've got sustained 25-30 mph ones right now and gusts over 40.  Yikes.  We're about to get tagged by that enormous storm, too.

No bike on the taper schedule today and Nasty Nasty weather up here in Vancouver.  I am having a hard time motivating myself for my run.

But its supposed to clear up tomorrow and I will get a few kms in when I head over to meet Jill (couch_potato_no_more-she's the one posting about all the clipless pedal problems). So we'll see if we can get her up and on the road. And it will be my first BT face to face meet up.  Exciting!!

I guess I should post and introduce myself to all my pink peeps teammates. As you can see I post tons! Well I am Gerald. Live in Utah, the Salt Lick, I mean Salt Lake area. Been involved in triathlon for quite awhile and love it. Got 8 races scheduled this summer with the big one being IMLP. This will be my first Ironman so just trying to get in a much training as possible so I suffer as little as possible. Which I am sure is wishful thinking. Done a few other challenges the last few months, swimming and running (hence the avatar) so excited to do a biking one. I was on a swimming challenge with Beth and she is a great motivator! As I see lots of you are also. Thanks. I promise that I will meet my goal for the month since I do not want anything to do with the cattle prod or pink whip!

Hey Gerald... are there any good road routes you can recommend?  And please don't tell me the JRT... For some reason I'm ok running there, but not biking.  DOn't think it has enough hills for my taste.

Yeah, I'm in the game now... 30 min...

Gotta hurry home now...

Hmmm.... perhaps if I get my biking game on I could start biking to work... I'd surely get my ten hours in quickly... and mileage... hmmm 24 mi per day.

biking to work would be an awesome way to get those miles in.  I am going to use the bike to run some errands later in the week.  Unfortunatly I don't have a commuter bike (next on the wish list) , just my nice one so I always get a bit nervous locking it up outside a store or something. But I get lost of compliments and its better than waiting for the bus!

Anyhow--I put in 52 commuter minutes and a 43-minute Spinning(R) Recovery Ride ... to recover the day after a race on gnarly hills.

Enjoy your T.I.T.S. as much as possible, I say!!!

Cool, a teammate from Utah! Yeah, I made the mistake of riding the JRT once. Your right ok for running but that is it. To many people, especially the weekend and no hills. For my longer rides that are hilly I go out of town to Heber, East Canyon or out by Kamas. I have not tried Antelope Island but will once it gets warmer. And when the snow clears up Little Cottonwood and Millcreek. Other than those places I ride in town, Saltair and out by Toole. Ok, and the dreaded CT.

Good morning sunshine!!!!

Everyone is doing great thus far and we're only a few days into the challenge.  Did I mention that I like my avatar?  I'd like to keep it around for awhile.  Ride those bikes!

What's on tap today, Peeps? I'm teaching an indoor cycling class () this morning followed by a short run, then trying to catch up on inspires and race reports before seeing a client this afternoon.
