OMG! There are BOYZ in Nibbs! Ooooooooh.

And hello all you hot girlies!

I *heart* boys... even though they sometimes mess you around and send mixed signals!

Haven't we gone over this already, men are evil....

My man is pretty sweet.

hmmm seems like there is conflicting evidence

That's the thing. They're not so much evil as contrary.

And completely unable to see how good the things are right in front of them!

Now you are learning.

Yup, some men/boys do need to have things pointed out to them and even then they can't see it.

TriAya - 2009-02-13 1:59 PM Totally random, but I'm just laughing about how Aussies pronounce it "Sydney HA-BA" and Americans call it "Sydney Harrrburrrr."

Lol - as long as we all understand each other

Yes! Some are runing this weekend in the 5k - some of the BOYS are doing the triathlon on the 8th and some of the ladies are diong support crew... team run in May BUT most are up for another womens tri... the next one is September... followed by a repeat of the one we just did...

Several want to get their own bikes/new bikes so that will be the first step...

kns57 - 2009-02-13 1:39 PM I'm going to try and run a whole 5K this Saturday. I know that is small potatoes for some, but for me it's big. I just wish I had someone to pace with. Noone I know is running this race.

Way to go! Ive never run a whole 5k!!! I had the option of doing one this weekend but Ive opted out at this point...

I think the triathlon on March 8th and *maybe* the 1k or 2k Sydney HArbour swim on MArch 1st.... just found out about it and Im kind of keen...

Not sure if doing that kind of race pace open water swimming is a bad idea a week out from a race.

The Harbour swim sounds awesome.

If the weather is good: http://www.sydneyharbourswim.com/

I wish I had a swim like that around here. I hate swimming in lakes.

Ive never done it but just the location makes it seem worthwhile... even if it is a kind of icky place to swim due to all the boat traffic etc I imagine the water isnt 100% - pretty good because of all the wildlife etc that lives there but....

Two used my spare mountain bike (they were in separate races), a couple borrowed from friends/family! Some had something old in the shed they could grab and used... like a $90 kmart bike!

None of it seems daunting enough though... or far enough out... I guess thats part of it coming to the end of hte season...

The reason the last race worked so well for me was that I had the goal 4 months in advance... EVERYONE knew I was doing it AND I knew there would be witnesses to the race...

The OWS is no biggie to me other than a bit of fun, the tri a week later is half the distance of the last race (except for the swim) so thats really a bit of fun too...

I think I need to scare myself again

I guess you need to find a bigger race.

Hard to adjust to your season coming to an end and our is just getting ready to start. What a crazy mixed up world.

Okay, time for me to hit the sack. My arms are sore tonight from all the swimming and then tennis. Glad that tomorrow is a rest day.

Well, rest day from training, not from work. That I still have to do. It's budget time.

I did some spinning, but skipped the swim.  The gal who coaches AM masters was at the front desk and she commented on me not being there yesterday.  So I will swim in the morning with her.  She is a cute young gal who pushes us hard at 5:15 am.  She also is a triathlete.
