I had a lot of time to think on my run. I need opinions. I'm thinking if I finish the IM I may get a tattoo. Not an m-dot, but maybe little swim, bike, run symbols with 140.6 under it. Just black. Really simple. On the back of my shoulder so it shows when I'm swimming, racing, and in casual stuff, but hidden otherwise. I've never been big on the IM tattoos but I was thinking why not. What do you guys think?

Sounds cool. I like the idea of something other than an m-dot too.

My brother has been trying to get me to get a tattoo for years (he has like 5 or 6.  Actually I am the only sibling of 4 that doesn't have one).  I could never decide on something that I cared enough about to put on my skin for the rest of my life.  I would definitely consider something tri related after finishing an ironman though.

kromanowski - 2009-03-15 7:05 PM For those of you who don't know it can get really crowded...and there are runners, walkers, tourists, children, dogs, and people walking 5 across because they feel like they own the place

Then I hit them.  Their fault for "sharing the road".

I finished one IM, but I don't plan on any tats.  I don't care to scar my body.  But, that's just me and my own opinion.

I had a nice peachy bike ride into work this morning.  Who needs coffee when you have the wind in your face at 6am?

Sweet. Now that I'm living closer to work, I'm thinking about bike commuting also. My issue though is safety. We've had a LOT of armed robberies here in the past 6 months.

Although I am not sure whether there actually *have* been more armed robberies, or if it's just the media are covering them more, so I'm more aware of the number.

Today is my last day to be able to stop in for a minute here or there from work. BT will be banned for the duration of March Madness.

So it may take me a day or two to enter my workouts into the log, but don't worry -- I'll get 'er done!

Swimming lesson tonight. She's going to film us on her cell phone. Should be interesting.

I'd have her do it on my own cell phone, except I do not have a picture phone. I'm so old-school.

I have always thought if I finished an Ironman, I might get a very small tattoo. But on the shoulder or something where it would be hidden.

There's someone who goes to my Y who has an Ironman Finisher sticker on his car, but I don't know who it is ... I've been trying to find out so I can guilt him into helping me casually ask for some advice about swimming.

Maybe that's just motivation to ride a little faster

JK.  That would definitely make me think twice about commuting
