Got a second ride today but the gears on my bike were slipping so I dropped it in to the docs and will get it back Friday... so Im not going to be riding tomorrow

Make sure they change the chain. My gears started to do that 2 months ago and it took me 2 visits to 2 different bike stores to finally come up with it myself that all it takes is to change the chain!!

Hi all,

Did my 3rd stage yesterday and because it seems I need to bike more for my upcoming HIM I increased the time from 70 to 120min.

Nice and easy evening ride with the hubby...

TexOma - 2009-07-08 1:41 AM I broke my toe Sunday, so I may have to increase my goals.  Yup, increase them.  Since I can't run, I cut the toes out of an old pair of cycling shoes and completed Stage 2 today.  Since I can't run, I'll be riding more.  Go Saxobank.

Ouch, that sounds painful. But Kudos to you for keeping on biking

It's a new bike so it probably needs a little 200k adjustments.

Okay, actual TdF comment here:

Is it wrong that I REALLY enjoy the team time trial?  It's probably from playing too many team sports growing up but watching it is alot of fun.

Cat, or someone else, why did they stop doing it over the past few years?  I can't say that I remember the commentators saying, but I was also doing some other stuff while it was on last night.

Well the race organisers choose the route and the race components....they decided it wasnt working I guess...

It probably didnt help the team US Postal/Discovery were SO dominant that it often seemed like racing for secondplace for the rest of the teams...

This time it is slightly different to what it had been in previous years... they used to cap the time losses, but this year time lost is REAL time

Edited to add: I really enjoy watching it too!

I'm catching up on TdF stage 5 on the Tivo this evening. I got my 3rd stage in today. I wanted to ride yesterday but the rain and thunderstorms muddled my plans. But I'm happy I got a good ride today and even a little run too.

I don't see how they have time to train with all that post padding.
Last months Run Challenge Team Taser was really hard to keep up with 187 or so pages.
I guess Cat put all the PP'ers together in AGRITUBEL.

Personally, I'm flattered by it.  At the risk of being a suck up, I'll be a part of Cat's Crew anytime you want me to be.

The real question is if you'll still want me when I confess that I got home late from the gym and fell asleep about 20 minutes into the TdF last night.  Embarassed

Don't tell, but I have a secret weapon to distract her with...

Mmmm - Milano!

Oh wait - that's the wrong kind of Milano for her...

Here we go!  I'll just do it like they do in the movies by throwing them towards her and running away when she goes to catch them.

A distraction for my getaway!
