Just got back from 84+ miles on the bike. Felt like I was out there all day! I'm pretty beat so I might skip my swim session for today.. we'll see though, pool doesn't open for another 3 hours so maybe I'll get a second wind.

I just saw a new dr today and we are doing some major medication changes...something that is long overdue.  Hopefully this works out well.

He had me straight-out drop 2 medications and start a new one....seeing as how they are mood stabilizers and antipsychotics this could get interesting.

Whoot whoot!

Hi Everyone!  I'll have you all know that it was THIS CHALLENGE that kept me from pressing SNOOZE just one more time and skipping my workout - the knowledge that I wouldn't be able to squeeze the run in any other time so woo hoo!  Thanks to the T-Birds!!!

I live in Toronto - mother of one pretty amazing kid.   Funny how that sort of defines me at this stage in my life!  Just started living an athletic lifestyle in the last few years and completed a couple of mini sprints last summer - my first full sprint July-09 - and hoping to do a couple more before the season is over.  Loving the rush of it all!  Hope I can keep it up!   Good luck to everyone in their challenge!!

I'm moving along but kind of slowly because I'm in semi taper. Since my very first tri last week was called I'm doing another this weekend so no long rides for me this week. I'll get it all in though.

Wooo...I'm Victoria after the 15 hr drive/ferry ride of awesomeness...I definately sped the majority of the way through interior BC and saw a pretty crazy bike route on the way....I'm thinking the 100km journey of the Coquillia can wait...for a long time before I am crazy enough to think about attempting it.

More family is coming in from the mainland....we are going to be overrun soon I think...Lots of people...Broke down a bit last night...but I think it was just the shock of seeing her for myself rather than people telling me whats going on..

Going to go for a bike ride today. It looks a little chilly outside and like its going to rain...

My month is not off to a great start - my foot is being weird, and this is what Fairbanks has looked like for the past several days:

http://www.newsminer.com/photos/2009/aug/06/10465/

(Sorry - I'd have pasted the picture in here, if I'd been able to figure out how to do it!) It's not expected to clear up anytime soon. So my goals are posted; severely reduced because of the foot pain and the smokey conditions. Hopefully one of these problems will clear up soon. Or better yet - both!!

Just did a 1.5hr ride around the south end of Vancouver Island...had to stop and get off my bike twice to manuveur some busy intersections due to airport and ferry traffic...but all in all it was alright...lots of HILLS..i'm so glad I decided to go clockwise instead of counter..the hills would have been insane to climb up the other way...and they were pretty crazy to begin with!

Just checking in with y'all.  It looks like I will need to start using an alarm clock again.  I have been waking up a bit before 6 everyday, but that didn't happen today.  I woke up to the phone ringing at 11:30 am.

I had been short on sleep though...

I am going to grab  a mat and do a core workout on the patio.  After that I will make lunch and a team table.

I gave my legs the day off but was able to get in some weight lifting. Trying to ease back into since its been over a month since I last worked on my upper body :/

Its my birthday Saturday and I have a big weekend planned so I may be absent from the boards, but I do hope to fit in some biking/running in.

Have a good weekend everyone!

Got in 46.6 miles on the bike today that included a MONSTER climb, man was it hard, but felt so good to reach the top!

Heh...apparently you needed a little down time!  Most days I have to use the alarm clock to get myself up in time.  I cherish the mornings when I don't have anywhere to be and can just sleep until whenever.  Makes for a more relaxed start to the day.

I am working all weekend so I've got a light schedule for the next few days - pre-work run on both Saturday and Sunday.  Then Monday it's back to the pool!  I haven't been in sooooo long.  I'm a little afraid of how much it's going to suck.  But for the Thunderbirds, I'm willing to suffer.  How's that for sacrificing one for the team?

Exhausted.....just woke up from a 3 hr nap and I have been sleeping for 8 hrs...ridiculous...I'm trying to wake up to force myself to go for a run...or maybe im going to have to go for a run to wake up?...

I'm going to  try out this iTrain program for the run...its one of those coached running programs (or indoor bike, swim, etc)...I got a free trial thing when I got my waterproof headphones and ipod case...ok...going to go put on my gear...

Look at the sacrifices I make for the team
