Good job team! The past two years I have been in front of the rest of the team for the entire challenge. You guys are so good I am having trouble keeping up!

We have lots of storms predicted this week too so planning the rides is a bit tricky. I'll get my miles in one way or another. During a past bike challenge I was short 1 stage but met my mileage. The last day of the challenge I rode my bike in circles around my basement to get the last stage in. I didn't have a trainer and the weather was miserable so it made sense at the time. It also made me dizzy.

I went to a Spinning workshop over the weekend called High Intensity Training.  Whew!  I'm tired!  It was a great workshop.  I have lots of new things to take to my students!

Hey Team,

Sorry, I was unable to get my long ride in yesterday!  I have to drive an hour away to do it, but had plans in the afternoon that were earlier than I thought (had to be there at noon rather than 2:30)... so that meant driving out to the burbs an hour each way + 2-3 hrs of riding, including stoplights, pit stops, etc + coming home w/enough time to eat & shower was NOT going to happen!  But I chose my goal with enough cushion to account for surprises, so I don't think it'd be too hard to make up the mileage.

On a happier note, I bike commuted to work again today, so that's another stage down!

I was living in an apartment complex so yes, it was a big basement.

Another stage done this morning. Today was supposed to be a beautiful sunny day according to the forecast last night but it turned out to be a cold, rainy, overcast day. This weather predicting stuff is a sham.

Current team standings:

1. Owl-girl
2. tritwinmom
3. Breezy
4. sledge
5. Abrady
6. yogachic
7. KOM

Kat said we should delete Clark from the team spreadsheet if he/she doesn't show by Friday.

Hi team!!!  I plan on getting another stage done today!!!  It'll be a very mellow ride since my hip flexor is a little sore and I am going to be racing in a sprint tri on Sunday.  Have a great day everyone!!!

I'll do my best to get a stage in today and keep up with you all. I am having some technical difficulties with my bike. Front tire blew out twice yesterday and the cycle computer has gone crazy. I think I have the tire issue resolved but the computer has me perplexed.

Commuted to work again today; another stage down!  I know it looks like I'm falling behind, but that's only because I'm tapering for my HIM.  If all I do for the rest of the month are just my bike commutes and my race, I will still make my goal; I'll go way over my goal if I happen to do any extra rides!

Got another stage done today!  Why do weird aches and pains always show up during the taper week?  I'm not happy about it!

I'm doing a sprint tri on Sunday.  It will be the 5th time I've done this particular race.

Doing well so far!  3 days left!!

I keep trying not to think about it so that I don't get too worked up about it.  I'm trying to think about it more as just another long workout, that way I don't get too stressed out!

I'm trying to stay calm, but when I realize it's FAST approaching, I get nervous butterflies in my tummy!

Hopefully get a ride in tomorrow, may be on the trainer again since I injured my chest with a boogie board yesterday, I am thinking going over bumps will hurt. It hurts when I breath deep, didn't realize how much you breath deep while running.... Hopefully the pain lessens tomorrow.

Be careful!  Don't ride if you are injured -- this challenge isn't worth creating more problems for yourself.  Please?

Hey Team, Abrady needs 8 stages and 7 hours of riding by the 25th to get to Paris.
Throw some inspires towards that goal!

Hey team! Hope you are all having a nice Friday night.

I realized I didn't consult my plan on my goals.  While the 10 stages is doable I picked a high total for the minutes to ride.  I am hoping to pick it off by doing lots of shorter rides in addition to my scheduled plan rides.  I have a race on 7/25 and don't want to tire the legs too much.  If I had checked my plan I would have seen that I was supposed to be in a recovery and then build week for the last 2 weeks of the tour.  Oh well, live an learn I guess. I will do my best to pile some minutes on this weekend and cruise next week with shorter rides.
