You said calamine lotion isn't working?

Yes! That IS sushi. It's a style, not the ingredients.

a friend posted on her page this morning that she got back on her wii fit and it said she had gained over 11 lbs since she was last on it...

It hit home for me this morning that all the weight I lost in the spring (Feb/March) is all back. Really need to buckle down and do it...

What is 15 lbs or so anyway - 1 lb for 15 weeks... 1 lb for almost 4 months...

It is the determination to do it...

Was just hoping if I could keep food (bad food) in check that the training for the half would help.

Not so much.

oatmeal. we have no epsom salts here. It didn't help.

I'm putting a mix of cortisone and menthol/camphor creams on the (dozens) of bites and it ain't helping.

I just took a nice big fat antihistamine though.

Top household item to relieve itching..

Rub a bar of soap over the itch... Can be dry or wet bar of soap.

Place a piece of scotch tape on the bite; or dab rubbing alcohol or ammonia on the bite first then stick on a piece of tape.

#3 - Hot water, take a hot shower, or a hot bath or apply a hot compress. As hot as you can stand it without burning you.

Ok - these are listed under dabbers for itch relief...

1-5 of 11.

1. Nail Polish - we used to use this on stings when we were kids. Paint the bite.

2. Strong tea mixed with rubbing alcohol (just make sure you don't drink it after)

3. Toothpaste

4. Mouthwash

5. Vinegar (apply directly to bit or take a hot bath with 2c. of vinegar in the water)

6-11 of 11

6. Honey (Might make the dogs lick you though)

7. Underarm deoderant (solid or roll-on) - apply directly to bite area (they stated that - kinda curious what they thought you might due)

8. Rubbing alcohol

9. Ammonia

10. Bleach (the last three not sure would be pretty smell)

11. Tea: use a hot tea bag or a cotton ball soaked in hot tea to dab on bite area.

Paste Applications - mix these fresh and then apply to bite ASAP.  The consistency should be nice and thick so it won't run. Apply directly (generously) and rub them in.

1. Baking soda & Water

2. Meat Tenderizer & Water

3. Salt & Water

4. Epsom Salt & Water  (

5. Tums tablets - crush and add a few drops of water

6. Aspirin - crush and then add a few drops of water

7. Aspririn - crush and then add a few drops of rubbin alcohol
