We've thought about some plans that incorporate the videos.

I think a sufferfest only plan would destroy people . They are pretty much all out efforts for an hour. Doing those every single day would make you pretty stale.

We're working with some more video content people to get some more videos on the site. Hopefully they are as good of a fit as TheSufferFest is.

That would work, honestly i get sooo much more out of a workout when i watch guys racing than i do a movie or something, it keeps me more interested.

you could always back off the FTP requirement in the plan workout, but that would require you to have multiple workouts of the same name, or you could give instruction on the plan that says to reduce your FTP by a % so that you are not balls to the wall every ride. That is what i do when i want an hour or 1.5 and have already did SF 2x that week. I will knock my FTP down by 50-75w, to make the intervals not so killer.  Just bouncing idea's off ya, hope you don't mind.

Yah, we've thought about just changing the workout intensity on different days.

We're also starting to record our own video. We'll have a couple go-pro cameras at the University of Nevada Crit this weekend and we have a few cyclocross races already. Some good footage in there.

I'd like to have a plan where you never had to watch the same video twice. That will take a bit of work though!

WOW!  I wanted to do a 2 x 20' workout today, and I was looking through the TR workouts and decided to go with Sufferfest Hell Hath no Fury.  I hadn't done this one in awhile and forgot how much it kicked your @ss!  I am totally spent now.  I did get a 1 mile run off the bike though... those were some wobbly legs

http://www.trainerroad.com/cycling/rides/47131

Here is my last one. Not as neat and clean as yours.

Dude, that one hurts. And it irritates me every time I do it because I think I am going to whoop it's butt and once more I get humbled. I have done about half of the SF videos but still have not done them all. I actually really like Downward Spiral.

I'm really happy. I went to work this morning thinking I was going to have to miss my bike workout and my daily run due to commitments. I made things happen and got in my bike workout minus the warm up and cool down straight to a short run. Not ideal... but so happy it was not a goose egg.

Sounds cool. So does Jorge help out on the site with questions of his plan? I don't like to take advantage of people that are helpful, but I have wondered how to stretch out is program a bit. For now I am committed to doing his 7 week FTP... I can get outside and do a long ride, but also just would not mind tacking some time on. Just curious how to best do that. I could just do the extra shot or long scream form SF.

Great work guys, those are awesome workouts.

HHNF and Fightclub are the next two that i will buy, and if i had to pick a favorite, i think it is a tossup between Revolver and Downward Spiral, just something i love about super intense all out workouts till you are ready to pass out, then rest and do it again and again and again.

Nate, we need more vids for workouts of the ladies racing!!!  you know in case you wanted some more unsolicited input, you know, cause i am a giver, HAHAHAHA!!!!

Keep up the good work guys, this challenge will keep me doing honest work during the week!!!

Jorge doesn't. I think throwing any of the SST workouts on afterwards and skipping the warm up would be good. The extra shot and long scream are intense. Those could mess up the rest of your program.

Switching out a long ride on the weekends with an indoor ride is also good. Just make sure you get some time at threshold on that long ride.

haha, I'll work on that.

I did Donner yesterday, 3x12 min just below threshold while watching Rocky. That was sweet. Right when it goes "15th and final round!" in Rocky TrainerRoad brought up some text and said "3rd an Final Round!". It was perfect.

I might do the thumb today or wait until tomorrow. Just a busy day tomorrow.

So then what I'm looking at.... Doing Jorge's 7 week plan fits for me right now and Will benefit me later. I looking to do a century at the beginning of June, an easy one. Right now I need to start ramping up my miles. I'm doing Barry P 3,2,1 so on my 3 easy run days, it is just easy to do my bike.

So just for now, I would like to start extending the 3 instead of tacking on a long 4th. Even though long ones will be in my medium future. Stick with holding my consistency this month. Ramp up and finish the FTP next month go do a century and have fun. Swap over to long threshold stuff and maybe a SF every week. Keep building for my hard centuries July and August.

What would you suggest?

That sounds like a good plan to me!

Sweet Spot Training or SST is a magical place to train. You can do a ton of it, you get good fitness for your time spent, and it doesn't wear your body down like higher threshold and VO2 max stuff does. If you have a bit of extra time or want to add some volume, add SST first.

Cool. That's where I will start. And my hope with TR is to get these types of workout down and get some data and convert over to HR when I'm outside. So I have plenty of good stuff to work on right now.

Got in some SST tonight with the "Geiger".  That's a pretty good workout, I like the different focuses like horizontal pedaling and varying cadence.  Made the hour go by quick!

Spent 2 hrs on the trainer yesterday, spinning at a Diabetes Expo trying to get people to sign up for the Tour de Cure.  Too bad I didn't have an internet connection and none of it could get logged on TrainerRoad!

I'm kind of happy. I did Eclipse tonight to see where I was at. That was after my 9 mile run turned into a 9.75 after my miscalculation. Not a big deal but I have not done a nine in a while. Well the ride went well. I remembered I had done the same one before.

Here is tonights

http://www.trainerroad.com/cycling/rides/48096

And here is from December 20th. I had the same FTP, but could not hold it back then. It was a guess sort of I think it was before a test.

http://www.trainerroad.com/cycling/rides/9128

Had a great day. Put some work in. Feel good, and added another 103 to my TSS.

... oh ya lost 2 pounds too!

Did Jorge's 6x4 again tonight. Bumped it up 2% and tacked on 20 min of SST with a 30 min free ride. Feeling pretty good. We shall see how the run goes tomorrow.

Nate... I don't know if it has always been, but I have not done a free ride in a while... it's brilliant with the % FTP up top in place of target. That worked so good.

Could you list your %FTP for your categories on the site: tempo, sweet spot, threshold, VO2... ect.?

Nice work!  I did Jorge's "Pyramidal" today.  It was an ok workout, different that just doing normal intervals.  That said, I think I like normal intervals better.

First week of 1.5 hr trainer rides and 30 mpw. I upped all my rides to 1.5 hours and it was good. Had to get out in the real world today for a two hour ride. I didn't have the legs to go hard after my long run, but it was still a good productive ride. Bummed it doe snot count for my TTS

April is almost in the books. Better hit it hard this week!!!

I think that's a really good way to do it. Bumping rides from 60 to 90 really adds a lot of "work effort" time and you get to take advantage of your previous warm up.

Nice job.
