Subject: RE: Kansas 70.3 group workout threadI in the "it doesn't hurt to ask camp" also but if they don't allow a transfer (I didn't ask for the refund, just a transfer of any kind actually) I'm O.K. with it. I did sign up knowing that if I couldn't race, it's $225 down the drain. I try to put myself int he RD's shoes. If he/she offers a refund to one person and word gets out, then what? You try to avoid playing favorites, this can have a negative impact on business, reputation etc. And in a race this size, it's a logistical nightmare working out refunds etc. so I totally respect the policy. However, it's also good business practice to respond to people and in a timely manner. But hey, he might have 200 emails in his inbox ....... Like I said, it's probably time go go Chrissie Wellington on everyone. Oh wait, I'm not going to win anything so the risk is not worth the reward .........dangit!!!! |
