When I worked at an employment agency we would have people bring their kids in for interviews - What are your plans for your child if I find you a job?

Dressed like they just walked in off the street for a good position (not factory type where that was cool by me!).

I am old fashioned and only 42, but I feel that most younger people don't really care what they look like and expect to get a job just because they need a job.  I have been growing a beard for the cold commutes and there are 2 p/t jobs I would love to ask - see ASK - about at the Gym and LRS but until I shave I would not even dare go in there - because I don't look good (Only on me - I don't care about facial hair on others but mine is just ugly ) and need to shave before even asking about them - not an interview or even filling out an application.

Yup, I agree, too.  I have no real issue with tatts and piercings but it's all about professionalism.  You have to look the part to some degree for serious consideration for many jobs.  Like it or not, it's just the way it is.  Oh, and Bill... at the gym where I work we have very strict dress codes for employees and there are specific policies on facial hair and piercings!

Yep, same here. Of course, I do work at the Y, so they really frown upon piercings and tattoos. Not so much facial hair because our branch's executive director sports a full beard (yuck!)

Oh, here's a new one... maybe those with facial hair can explain...

Pool Manager caught guy in the sauna shaving... why shave in the sauna... why do we even need to have signs up that ask you to not shave int he sauna (which we do)...
I don't get that...

I do get how gross it must be to have little hairs all over the sauna bench...

UGH!!!!!

Oh childhood reminiscence...

I remember brushing our teeth at the edge of the wharf to spit in the water... then the perch would bite at out spit...  No we didn't have running water back then.... and NO I did not rinse my toothbrush off in the bayou....

Yup or a soup or some toast and a coffee or a salad or something... there is only a couple of food options near work but a 10 minute or so up the road and there are more options...

Plus I NEVEr take lunch breaks nad NEVER get outside during the day... I think this will make me feel like a naughty school child!

Besides.. im just feeling exhausted and cant concentrate on ANYTHING at the moment... so why not do something good for me instead of just surfing the net and struggling to get anything done when on Monday I will prbably be able to focus...
