If it doesn't rain here today @ Seatac Airport we'll have broken a record for the most dry days in succession! Can you believe that!!!!  I live in Seattle. LOL

I think thats because Chicago has taken all of your rain...it feels like it has rained 29 days in a row here...not true but thats what it feels like!

It's been quite nice but my flowers are suffering and now there's a burn ban and probably a drought! A drought in Seattle! Ever heard of such a thing?

blujay65 - 2009-06-16 9:32 PM Hey Teammates!

Seems I have some bad newsFrown. That nagging groin pain is a strained hip abductor muscle. It happened before my race, and the race just made it worse apparently. Bummer. Unfortunately I will have to pull out of this challenge. It will best for me to take a break from running for a few weeks. But have no fear! I will be back! In fact tomorrow I am off to the gym to get back to my strength workouts! I can keep swimming as long as I stay freestyle and limit my kicking and biking we'll have to check that out once some of the soreness goes away. I can tell you this, it's a weird place to try and ice!

Just a short break! I promise!Wink

Get better soon!

Hi All!

Thanks for such kind words! Of course I'll stick around and keep buggin' y'all!

I had a great strength training workout today. It reminds me of how remiss I have been in going to the gym! And probably would have helped me in avoiding my injury if I had been keeping up with my core workouts like I should have been!

damnitall...

i was putzin' round this morning.

thinkin' i had all the time in the world today.

took the boys to get their summer hair cuts.  buzz cuts for the other two.   my youngest kept his JoBro do.

then lollygagged at the library.

completely forgot my oldest son aka has his group this afternoon.

and were supposed to meet friends tonight who are here from out of town.

dont think ill get to the Y before we have to head out to meet them.

its raining guinea pigs and hamsters.  so running outside is a no-go.

BLASTED.

usually im SO on top of things.  but today.  not so much.

but like Lynn/CAPTAIN FAST PANTS, never fear.

i WILL get my runs in this week.  [lynn, you made me giggle.  i have a 1/2 coming up too,  Nov 1st]

no way, no how am i gonna let TEAM TRIFECTA DOWN!

HAPPY RUNNING EVERYONE.

Have we officially conceded the post padding challenge? It's been a much slower-than-usual thread in the last 24 hours. We'll just get them where it really hurts - on the spreadsheets!! I will run today, I promise.

Good Morning Peeps!

Well...I have bad news. My baby toe has cellulitis, fancy medical term for a deep infection. I have started on a course of anti biotics and must take it easy for the next while. This is secondary to chronic blistering.

So I gotta bow out...

I mean really.......ridiculous.....at least if I am gonna get injured I could get something cool and studly sounding....but an infected little piggy??? But there it is.

I will hang out to cheer you all on!

Awww no! That sucks Helen! I'm SO sorry!!!! But better to rest and heal than make it worse and have them chop it off!  That's me, always here to brighten your day!   LOL

I asked my husband last night to transfer stuff from washer into dryer so I could load all my stuff today and do a nice bike/run brick after work. Did he? Did he pants so now I have to head HOME 1st. I am going to string him up by the dangly parts later! Grrrrrrrrrrrr.. One thing I asked! ONE THING!
