wgraves7582 - 2009-10-28 1:17 PM Alright we have 4 takers already.

Are we going to be snobbish and not let outsiders in?

depends on the outsider, but im SNOBBISH, VERY VERY SNOBBISH.

that Pittsburgh Triathlon Club welcome wagon gig....a total ruse.

i think it would be UBER FUN to continue on as a group...with as many as would like to continue on.

if the elliptical vs ST 'challenge' is what makes that happen, im totally diggin' it.

let the games begin.
stacieb

I second this. We seemed to gel pretty well together, I'm concerned that outsiders might mess it all up.

perhaps we should build moat for good measure.

stacieb

I'm not responsible for feeding whatever critters we put in the moat!

oh i have a 13 year old son who i can put in charge of THAT.

he'll totally DIG it!

wgraves7582 - 2009-10-29 6:58 AM Recap:

Stacie is working on organizing her kiddos (and hubby - good luck there Yell), she signed up to lose a challenge to Bill and she filled up about 4 pages of just posting about kids homework and television

Neal is rocking his way towards 100 miles this month even with a marathon recovery - great job.  His lab friend had the flu and he hopes he does not come down with it.

Bill is having a great CoolEmbarassedInnocentWink time with his new emoticons that Kendra helped him find

Ann hit 100%, wants any leftover wine, and is holding my towel tomorrow while I lake aquajog and swim - brrrr!

Kendra returned and said some great stuff but I cannot remember anything specific sorry I am 43 afterall

Amy stopped by during a snow storm and was braving the weather as well as others in Colorado.  She also passed 1K posts but does not remember when, where, how, or why!

Dee hit 100% and is having an awesome posting month

Tom has a torturous San Diego commute but we don't care because it is beautiful there and we are all jealous (no one typed that I just felt it) and he overbought dinner so he is bringing the leftovers in for us today

Jules is MIA still

Robin is awaiting her new shoes and her computer is petoooey.  But Robin made the contribution of the month - Ghoulies November Challenge and no one else is invited in.  Stacie started it by trying to chick Bill.  Bill countered by challenging her.  Robin titled it.  All Ghoulies were invited to attend but no outsiders (stacie's rule!)

I think that is about it - as previously stated if I forgot something forgive me

 Thanks Bill

GHOULIE QUESTION:

ARE YOU AN ORGANIZED OR AN ORGANIZATIONALLY CHALLENGED PERSON?

I consider myself very organized.  Although if you were to look at my desk at work you might think otherwise.  But I don't loose stuff, I'm always on time, and I'm all about schedules and plans

I'm always on time, and I like schedules. Maybe I'm not as challenged as I thought. Plans are ok, but I do like to fly by the seat of my pants, too. Does not knowing whether I'm organizationally challenged or not MAKE me organizationally challenged?

organizationally challenged or not organizationally challenge....

that's the question

i can come n organize ya until you find out for yourself.

LOL.

Alright, I've adjusted my goal.  Dee's formula would have put me at 45 miles, but I've already run 50 and just had two 5 milers this week that I'll miss.  So 50 it is.  Darn it.  That is not how I like getting to 100%.  I will do an extra session on knee PT this afternoon to pay penance.

Yup. And I made it home just in time to deal with a clogged/overflowing toilet, cat poop on the floor, and the realization that I'd bought too much food since our youngest is eating dinner with a friend tonight. Good times...

Oh wow.  So much for unwinding after work.

Tell me about it. Unfortunately days like this are all too normal, but what's a guy to do? At least the raspberries and strawberries were DELICIOUS tonight.

To be honest this is the very first time I will ever hit 100% in a challenge if I remember correctly.

I always set my goal to a point where I am "Challenging" myself to obtain that goal.  Nothing out of this world like walking on the moon but where I have to push myself.

I wimped out this month and pulled sessions (this is directed to me only so if you do sessions I mean no offense at all because it is great to be training no matter how much!) because I really did not have a good feel for how far I could run easily and with pushing myself.

It worked out because of aqua jogging but I was thinking last night in the pool that I would have been stuck if I had picked miles because I am not going to do a 3 hour long run in the pool Cool

We have done great this month because a lot people have pushed themselves places they have not been before and to me that is what the challenge is all about.

So join us next month for the disdain challenge because when you learn to love that what you hate it only makes you that much stronger!

aspeelma - 2009-10-29 5:34 AM Question of the day...

At a movie theater which armrest is yours?

BOTH.

ABSOLUTELY.

one of my all time favorite things to do, is to see a movie BY MYSELF.

my kids always wants to see *GASP* kid movies, which is great when im in the mood for kid movies.

my husband doesnt always want to go and see the movies i like to see, i know, *GASP*

im always into these really intense, character driven, psychologically complicated movies (like Benjamin Button as a recent example) and well, my husband, he falls asleep.

so.....i LOVE LOVE LOVE to go and see movies by myself.

the arm rests are mine

the candy is mine.

the soda is mine.

the popcorn is mine o mine.

[do you think CAVEMEN had movie theaters??]

stacieb

I go to the movies by myself, unless I'm taking the kids

I go to restaurants by myself

People think I'm weird for doing so, my response is I'm just bored or hungry I don't see a big deal going by myself

Yes, I think cavemen did have movies, but only drive-in's

i got resturants too by myself.

my friend think im crazy (a reoccuring theme here as you can tell)

and like you, im like whats the big deal.

that way i dont have to share my food, i dont have to be 'shushin' the kids every two minutes, or reminding them that their sleeves DO NOT substitute as a napkin, and that farting and burping a at the table is just not appropriate.

around the campfire at camp or other asundry places, but not in a resturant.

and lets not even talk about how my DH acts when we're out in public.

j/k.  hes ALWAYS 110% appropriate in public...i sure can pick em.  yes indeedy.  the kids.  i didnt get to pick.  LOL.

and cave men, drive ins MOST DEFINATELY.

that you took your stone cars to, that you pushed with your feet, all the way there!

WILMA!!!!!!!!
