barqhead - 2008-07-17 9:10 AM Wow, Cat. Impressive posting there. Hiya, Nibbs! Today was one big workout day. I went to my coach's boathouse in NC and we swam for an hour in the lake, then we rode for over 50 miles in the mountains. I am sore, tired and sunburnt now. But it was all good. We stopped at this horse farm and six foals galloped up to the fence to visit with us. They were so cute! It was a really nice day.

Hi!!! Yay im not by myself

Nibbs has been VERY busy while I was sleeping so I had ALOT of catching up to do!!!

Sounds to mike you are going to need a good sleep tonight?

Oh yeah. I will sleep like a log. Glad you are caught up on Nibbs cuz I'm sure not.

As far as I can tell it goes something like this:

- Beth was feeling crappuy

- Blake and Bill pitched in to cheer her up

- she is now going for a spin/swim

- there was a lot of talk about Limoncello - what it tastes like, how to make it as a spin off from chatter about Kristens trip

- umm the tdf stage last night was kind of boring

- Yanti popped by and she is planning her first IM - Im Malaysia...

- Kendra is out on her bike (motor)

- Heather really needs to be made to go swim!

I think thats the most of it!

I think you have a future in Nibbs notes!

I'm done with my spin and swim! I made to class before it was full tonight and I am no longer crabby

Woohoo! you go Beth!

Hi Beth and Dee and everyone else.

Beth - Any luck on the house (Save me the time from searching all back pages )

Dee - Will definitely get some pictures of Acadia.  Time to post my Colorado pictures and update the avatar also.

Time for dinner!

Thanks for asking Bill!

the weekend went really really well - while we didn't find our 'dream house' - we did a lot of narrowing down

the fam now knows a bit more about the area and can actually picture it out here

we may end up renting for a bit as we continue the search - (might be a way to save some more money toward a down payment and get us closer to what we really want and are used to)

in today's market, we're a bit hesitant to buy a house that we will want to move out of in a year or 2

anyway - it was a fabulous weekend!

Ok, whew!  I think I'm all caught up.

Beth!  We both spun and swam today.  I was planning on swimming and then hitting the trainer.  I was gonna be all productive and work late, but since that girl went nuts when she got fired things changed.  Turns out she told somebody she was going to get her boyfriend, some nuts hot head type, and was going to bring him up to the building.  They got security there and had all of us stop what we were doing and leave immediately.  CRAZIEST DAY AT WORK EVER!!

Soooo, I had plenty of time to make a killer spin class.  Then I got chlorinated.  Butterfly included.  Then I came home and made this:

4 egg omelette with mushrooms, onions, cheese, and imitation lobster meat.  Why imitation?  If I could afford real lobster I wouldn't wasted it in an omelette.  First you gotta separate the whites and yolks.  Beat the whites, then mix them with the yolks.  Sautee the onions, mushrooms, and meat (any kind of meat will do) in olive oil.  Pour the egg mixture in the skillet.  Flip like a chef.  While the other side is cooking, clean up what fell on the floor when you flipped.  Add the cheese.  Fold it over the best you can.  Then dig in for an uber-recovery meal.  It goes great with hot sauce and a Turbodog.

Well I updated my Avatar to a cool picture from Mountain Biking in Colorado

I am hitting the hay.  I have to get up around 4:30 PST to get to the airport.  And Friday is going to be nuts getting ready for the trip, but that is alright.  I am excited about Maine.

You guys have a great night and I will chat with you later.

BTW I had mexican for dinner also - Chicken Tacos, black beans and rice - Not as good as your guys homemade but it hit the spot for sure!

I wish this stupid hotel had VS so I could watch the Tour and fall asleep dreaming of my new bike but no - 4 ESPN channels no VS!! Explain that to me please!

G'night Bill!

Love the new avatar

nice to *see* you - as always!

I was doing all that running for one.  And it drained me.  Then I just didn't want to drive to the pool, so I'd pull out the trainer to make up for it.  Then I figured, swimming is what I'm good at, so I can let it slide.

This week I decided to stop making excuses and realize that... I LOVE TO SWIM!

I do love swimming!

 - November and December of last year kind of burned me out - the only thing I did was swim - I was trying to get over PF - good news is it worked

Whoh!  Just checked those November and December totals!  You're a shark, too!  I'd say given all your travels and work, that you've done a more than admirable job finding the water the past however many weeks.  Sometimes it's just tough to find the time.  Real life and such

I was really on top of it February through May, but that was because of the OLY plan.  It worked wonders, too.  Now that I'm basically training for a "fun" race while really wanting to just be a bum until the HIM stuff kicks in, I'm just having a hard time finding the motivation to get to the pool.  When I do, though, I love it.  I'd really like to hit 250k yards for the year, primarily just because it would be cool to say I swam a quarter of a million yards

Can you tell I'm three weeks out from a race?  Haha... the "kick it up week" with the taper looming.  Weird training moods already kicking in.  At least they're coming and going.  In a week and a half I'll be completely mental.
