hmmmm,

seems the nibbs has been missing the male point of view lately................

where are the men?

I have been asking in my life, where is THE man? 'Cause here I am, sick for days, everybody under the sun BUT him has called and even come by to see if I'm okay and need anything, have left him multiple messages to please call me, was worried maybe he was sick or hurt, but I call him today and he answers Hello (but is clearly talking to someone else in the background, and he sounds just peachy), then we get disconnected, and he doesn't call back, although I've called back and left yet another message.

Can we say, DOGHOUSE???

That sucks.

I guess the guy must be clueless

I. Am. Tired. Tonight.

But I did practice for about a half hour so I can keep my chops fresh for next Tuesday's jam session.

I found that brass instruments and cold weather never went together well.  That may have been partially due to the fact that I was stuck out side in the stands playing for football games.

Cold instruments make sour notes.

Alright, I am going to hop into  my car and after letting it warm up and defrost I will dare the roads.  Hopefully they haven't gotten too much worse...

I will be back...even if I have to hoof it to get to my computer.

Yay-No more stupid Vista!

French horn primarily

I picked up trumpet for jazz band and baritone for the pep band.  Anything brass is easy after the french horn.    I didn't start until highschool and wasn't particularly good until my junior year.  It is hard to learn an instument on your own, in a HS band, with no other F Horns, and a timid personality (it was at the time).  The French horn part is almost always unique which makes it hard to follow along-I play much better by ear than by reading the music.  My music reading skill have improved, but I am once again sorely out of practice.

Maybe at some point I will get my horn tuned up (it has a few issues Embarassed) and I could start noodling a bit.

I think that I found pep band the most fun-it was a much more relaxed atmosphere.  And then there is the competition with the opposing teams band...

The key is to not get tangled in the cords.
