Day 400 today whooooot and I had a nice but tough 10 mile run in some deep snow. We got 8-10 inches of fresh stuff yesterday and overnight and some of where I ran today had not even been walked on by anyone plus this area is wide open and I was going into a good 20+ mph headwind. I also went over 3000 miles since I started my streak, 3006.26 to be exact plus I am at 328.35 miles so far this month and have 40 miles planned for this Saturday. Not sure if i will make the 400 mile mark for the month but this is by far my highest monthly total ever.

Congrats on both 3000 miles and 400 consecutive days.  Both figures seem staggering feats.  I can't imagine all that had to come together for you to hit both marks.

Day 402 and I did not quite get in 40 miles today, only 37.1. I forgot my head lamp and it got dark so I cut the run a little short. Now to start tapering off a bit the 50 miler is 4 weeks from today. If I can manage 7 miles tomorrow, not sure my legs are really tired from running in the deep snow, I'll be at 100 miles for the week. I am planning on 10 mile tomorrow but we'll see how I am feeling after work.

I'm here, will be doing # 70 today. Just got to let a big lunch digest.  The burger I ate had pork and egg on top!!! And I drank lots of beer.  Lots. I wanted one last hurrah before I "officially" start training for IMLP this week. Its only 2 in the afternoon, and I'm going to take a nap, hopefully...hopefully I will be awake in time not to ruin the streak.

#113....3.3 slow and easy miles....gets me over 120 for the month.  I think I'll stay right there for a few months as I add swim and bike back in.

Day 404 and 2 streak saving miles on the treadmill. My legs are tired so if it was not for my streak I would have taken the day completely off. My totals for the year are 2,762.57 miles running, 1,160.87 miles biking, and 36.35 miles swimming. The swimming is all open water in a lake. My december running total is 379.46 miles ran, my highest monthly total by far and first time over 300 miles.

The biking and swimming were for getting ready for an adventure race, plus I did one olympic tri this past year, my first tri ever.

I was away for a few days, enjoying some holiday time with the family at the beach.

Today was day 38 and a rare speed/interval workout for me.   6 miles on treadmill, half at an "uncomfortable for me" pace.

Yesterday was a busy day but I managed to throw down a quick two miles on treadmill, for not other  reason than to keep streak alive.

Saturday I went for a barefoot, out-and-back run on the beach.  (54 degrees and light rain, didn't see a single other person out there, it was weird)  Forgot my Garmin so I didn't know how far I ran until mapping it on my route manager after getting home...  5 1/2 miles.  That surprised me.

Tomorrow I may see if I can start a streak on my bicycle as well.

Happy new years all.  Just finished #71, a balmy 36°F, much better than the snow, freezing rain and windy 20°s of last week.  Also day #1 for official training with a structured plan.  I wasn't planning on running every day going into this plan.  But I guess I will have to make it work.  Must keep the streak alive!!
