I was so tired later that day I actually took a nap. Then I watched High School Musical 1 & 2. Great way to just unwind. Work today. Lol those movies are ones I choose sometimes to unwind or the night before a race! I've never seen either but they are on the list along with Twilight of movies I really have no desire to see ever. Sorry Nibbs. That's okay Jen. I had never seen them. They are cute no brainers. But I enjoy musicals, so what can I say. |

A metric century. I was so tired later that day I actually took a nap. Then I watched High School Musical 1 & 2. Great way to just unwind. Work today. Cool, I didn't realize that 62 was a metric Century... Amy and I did the same yesterday as well Read you log. Great ride. I forgot my computer on my bike and that sure makes it hard to keep up a good pace without one. I kept watching the scenery. Our first SAG wasn't until mile 31. then the second was at mile 49. Way too far to go without SAG stops and neither one had restroom facilities. So, I made an extra stop at a gas station and begged the guys to let me use their restroom. They let me, but turned everyone else down. This was the first time this event was run, so they have a lot to learn regarding running and staging a ride. It was all for a good cause though. The entry fee was 20 plus cans of food items to go to the local food bank. Surprised that they didn't create stops at parks with restrooms. Though I suppose if there was no cash entry fee, it made the budget pretty sparse. We may have gone right at or a little over twenty miles between the "mid-morning snack" stop and lunch, but they still had plenty of support vehicles on the road, so that kind of made up for it. Can't imagine how I mentally would have made it without having my computer to play "training" games with. I can only focus on the white line for so long We did go through one state park, but they did not take us by any of the rest room facilities. Even with no entry fee, they could have mapped out a route that would take you by a few more gas stations that have public facilities. Yeah, without the computer it is hard to keep up a training speed. I get to looking at the scenery and next thing you know I'm going along at grandma speed. hey, wait a minute, i am a grandma. So Great Grandma speed. |

Lol those movies are ones I choose sometimes to unwind or the night before a race! I've never seen either but they are on the list along with Twilight of movies I really have no desire to see ever. Sorry Nibbs. Lol - thats ok Jen! I had no plans to watch Twilight either... but somehow I ended up watching and enjoying it.... I havent read the books though! Great movie! I really liked it. I especially found it cool that they played the beginning of a Collective Soul tune during one of the scenes! So, maybe for the music alone the movie would be worth seeing. It's not on my list either. Read the first book and was not impressed so I haven't read any of the others. It's a "tweener" movie, but I actually liked it - I liked the characterization. The "good vampire" played his part okay. It's not "gory", but a couple of scenes that maybe somewhat unsuitable for kids under 12. |
