Evening Ghoulies.  Well that was a long day and still going.  Off-site planning meeting and talent management discussion over a VERY long dinner.  Now I'm wide awake and can't even think about calling it a night.  Not good as we start again early tomorrow.  Busy day in the village today.  Probably missed 50% of the discussion as I did a speed read through about 5 pages of posts....but a couple thoughts. 

Ann(e), I have Look/Keo's on my roadie and SPDs on my mtn bike.  Personally, I prefer the Keo's.  Probably because they are what I used 15 years ago when I got my first "grown up" bike.  And to some extent because I have a love/hate relationship with mtn biking.  It really is personal preference.

Melindy, I would also like to borrow some of your energy and sleep time. 

Ann(e) again, glad the pup is ok.  Look forward to your "Marley and me" stories.

Bill/Tom, let us know if you are successful in "trading places."

Amy, so nice that you are looking to find a bike for the DH.  Good time to remind us all (I am the worst) that all the carbon in the world won't make up for lack of time in the saddle or gas in the engine/legs.

Neal, so cool that you are doing Escape from Alcatraz!!!!  This one is on my *bucket list*

Hey Ghoulies! I just looked up my official results again, and saw that my first half split was 52:41, which means I only lost a little over a minute on the second half. I have to say I'm EXTATIC about this because I figure pretty much all of that lost time was at my unplanned pit stop. I thought for sure I was slowing down and to learn that my splits were almost dead even is beyond encouraging. I didn't think I could be more excited to train for the next one, but now I am. BRING IT ON!!!

Now, about my massage last night....

I have probably had 10 or 11 massages in my lifetime by at least 6 different people. Last night's was by far the best. It was totally different than anything I'd had done before, and I think the massage therapist may be a slight bit sadistic but I felt soooooooo good last evening, and even now. I actually slept almost 7 hours last night. I only woke up when I did because my alarm went off, I'm usually up before the alarm.

My hour massage lasted an hour and 20 minutes. She told me she enjoyed working on me because most people come in there and they don't really have any problems. She told me I was a wreck, and that was fun for her, alrighty then. Hey, if it gets me an extra 20 minutes then whatever, right?

I haven't had anyone go near my neck since my horse riding accident almost 3 years ago. I didn't even tell her about it. When she got to my shoulders and neck she said something and I told her about the accident. She said she wasn't scared of my neck and she spent a lot of time there. It felt REEEEAAAAALLLLLYYYYYY good.

I will definitely be going back there!

I have been tossing about the idea of running the marine corps marathon this year.  My sister is moving back to the DC area this summer.  The race would be about a month and a half after IMWI which should give me time to recover.

I DEFINITELY think you should run it! You're young, you DO have plenty of time to recover!

I think part of it will depend on how well my running is progressing.  If I feel like I'm 100% recovered by the time registration opens up I will probably pull the trigger.

OHHHH you said EMG, I thought you said something else. Yes, I've had 2 EMG's but they were nothing, piece of cake. You won't even notice them doing anything and they're pretty quick, too.
