I am a little slow and tired this morning, but I don't really hurt. I have another pair of magic pants on again today.

My foot started bothering me walking around the grocery store this morning. I'm going to see if I can get in with the podiatrist this week.

That's probably a good idea.  Where's the pain in your foot?

I'm having trouble narrowing it down if it's the first metatarsal, or between the first and second metatarsal.

Okay, time for a ghoulie poll.

Do I run a 5k or a 10k tomorrow?

Price is the same so usually I opt for the 10k so I "get more for my money."  But I've been keeping my runs around the 5 mile mark since IM and admittedly haven't felt all that great running.  10k just sounds like double the suffering at this point.  Plus if I run the 5k I get to eat my omelet breakfast served by sorority girls sooner since that race is first.

So top of the foot?  I had pain there when training for my first marathon and was afraid it was a stress fracture.  Turned out to just be tendinitis so I lucked out.

Smart move going in to get it checked out

Do the 5k. No point in double suffering especially if there is breakfast by sorority girls to be served!

A stress fracture is what I'm afraid of. Tendinitis I can live with for 3 more weeks. I wonder if I can get a cortisone shot for that. I did ice it yesterday after my nap. I will keep icing this weekend and call Monday for an appointment.

I'm out for a bit, gotta get the youngest kiddo off to her soccer game.

The Pros just finished the swim!

Speaking of burnt out.  I just finished my first ride since IM.  I can't believe I didn't ride for a whole month!

I just started streaming coverage.  Between that and football on tv I don't think I'll be leaving the couch for the rest of the day

Back from soccer.

I have to say that other people's kids annoy me.

There are 2 boys on the team that don't listen to the coach at all. One of them is whiny. He whined the entire game. It was quite annoying.

My daughter hurt her foot and was limping and she was still running. My husband was coaching, I told him to make sure to keep her off of offense. He put her in as goalie and she played defense the last 3 quarters. EXCEPT when the whiny kid didn't want to play anymore and walked off of the field. They only had 1 sub so my daughter had to go back in.

She did well on defense, fortunately she didn't have to run much. It broke my heart when she did though. She has a leg on her so she could boot the ball out of there when it came down onto her side of the field.

Are foot problems contagious?
