Damn Hilde - granny panties are not my thing but you are looking fine in them!  Just don't parade around in them too much or Wilson might have to have some medical intervention with his breathing problem. 

YUM YUM - Granny panties.......NOT!!!!!  Hey, so I ran today....breathing was pretty good and I'd guess I ran at a 9:15ish min/mi pace...dunno Garmin locked up on me and I didn't know how to unlock it - it's going now.  My shins hurt more than anything else...so that's good news...I can run through that pain.  It's been about 3 weeks since I ran so shins hurting are normal I'd think.  I'm most concerned about the swim....I haven't been in the water in 2 weeks...and that lack of balance in the water scares me...So for the next three days I'm gunna swim and try and regain some confidence....The swim is gunna be a struggle for me......So, unless they kill me in my breathing test on Friday.....

WTF - HTFU  --  I'M GUNNA RACE ON SATURDAY!!!!!

So, pray to the water gods for me please....help wilson regain balance and some degree of confidence for Saturday's race.  I'm counting on my base to get me through this one (do I have base???)....It'll be interesting since I haven't bricked yet this season.....I'm in for a real treat!!!!  Good thing the medics are only 5 minutes away at the most.....I may need them!

Sulcus - 2011-06-17 8:15 AM I would like to take this opportunity to have a moment of silence for Wilson's wife, if for no other reason than it will be the very last she has for several days. Safe travels and good times to everyone heading to Indy this weekend!!!

Wilson and Hilde - Hope you have a great race tomorrow and a super weekend! 

Having now met THE Wilson Silverthorne in person, I have to say that he IS completely normal, all that other stuff that he posts all the time... that's his Tourette's. 

So far we are having a great time!!  His house is beautiful, and his little town is just charming.  His wife can put him in his place with just a look, I LOVE her!  We had a fabulous dinner at Buca, a super yummy Italian place.  Met another BTer, Brad, I think I have to add him to our group, I guess he tried to join us and I turned him down!!  (Sorry Brad if you are reading this, I didn't know you were a friend of Wilson's!!)  He's doing the tri tomorrow too! 

The princess beds are AWESOME!!!!!!!  I almost can't wait to go to sleep!  Wilson is getting the rest of his stuff together and then it's a bit of relaxing hot tub time and off to slumberland. 

Tammy and Alex will be here tomorrow and I can't wait to add to the MMM love fest!!  Looking forward to a super race day!!  Ii wish you were ALL here!!!

Well gang, it turns out that a BT'er I met here at Indy had asked to be in our group and I turned him down!!  Turns out he's a friend of Wilson's and I didn't know... in any case, I know we've added folks that turned out to be a bust, but Brad knows that if he doesn't live up to MMM standards he will be dropped, so once again we are adding a new member.... user name brizzadd .  I think he'll have to add you as a friend before you can see his logs so I'll PM a list of all of you, but you can welcome him here.  Great guy, great hair, funny, he'll fit right in.

If the race results I found are any indication, Hilde kicked some arse, Wilson manned up and completed the race against his doctor's wishes and no MMM'ers seem to have been arrested. 

I think the last part surprised me most!  

This is what I posted in my blog today, interesting trip for sure!!

Kati and I are home, safe and sound.  Absolutely FABULOUS trip... Wilson and Cheryl were wonderful and gracious hosts, and that Wilson can throw a party... gin, hot tub, beer, gin, hot tub, pool, gin... one advantage to not drinking is NO HANGOVER, ha ha!!  We got on the road about 8:00 Indiana time, 7:00 Texas time and decided to do our best to drive straight through.  Potty stops and take out food only, and we got hung up in stop and go traffic for about 45 minutes in I think Missouri.  We never did find out what the problem was, but there were dead chickens in the road for several miles??  WTF??  We were sooooooo happy to finallly get back in Texas.  I drove all the way through Arkansas, and we stopped for gas and food in Texas and then Kati drove the rest.  About 2 hours from home we stopped at a McDonald's drive thru for coffee and were so tired we started laughing and couldn't stop, we could barely get out the order!  Slowly the time ticked by, 1 hour left, 45 minutes left, half an hour left!!  I could tell Kati was getting tired, she hit the rumble strip a couple of times, and I was literally just going to tell her to pull off at the next exit and I'd drive the rest of the way home when we hit a section of highway that the lanes had been moved all the way over to the right, no shoulder and no rumble strip and she hit a section of curbing that was marking an exit lane or something.  I could see it coming, thought she saw it, which she did but too late and she was afraid of over-correcting and veering into the other lane which was bordered by the cement barrier.  It wasn't a sharp curb, it kind of ramped up and I really thought she would just bounce up over it....nope, it hit hard, knew we had a flat and pulled over.  Worse, 2 destroyed rims and tires on the right side.  It's 1:45 in the morning.  Luckily we were right near a street light so we weren't in the dark, AND she has free emergency towing, AND we were only 28 miles from home so we were able to be towed to her house.  They were supposed to tow us to the dealership, but since she works in tires she's got all kinds of friends who can fix her up, AND we had my bike in the back, no way were we going to leave everything in the dealer parking lot overnight!  And also luckily she has her stock tires and rims in storage so one of her tire buddies is going to swap her out this morning and she'll be good to go until she can afford to replace the 2 tires and rims.  It was 3:00 before I got in bed, and couldn't sleep past 7:30 once it got light.  So I walked home, caught up with Ron before he went to work and I need to shower and drive back up to get all my stuff.  I definitely see a nap in my future!!   Looking like another rest day...

Wilson you are fabulous, you have an awesome wife, Tammy, so glad to meet you and that you flew up to join us-- Tammy is NOT the sweet thing she appears to be everyone(!), Alex... I got to see you with no boot!!!  You lead such an intersting life, I really don't know how you fit it all in!  You are as dedicated to your acting and your teaching as you are to triathlon, inspirational!  Brad, BRAD!!  What can I say, you've got great hair!!  You will be a great addition to our group!!
