Subject: RE: SWBKRUN MENTOR GROUP - OPENOriginally posted by Terps421 Suzy I love the pictures of you and the other super women!! How do you and Trevor run in those cold temps? Do you acclimate quickly? Trevor that is amazing you ran in -25C! We are getting our first snow here of 6 or more inches then ice over night. Nothing like the Canadian's weather though ; ) I don't think you ever get completely used to it, but the right clothes matter a lot. I've discovered wearing Smartwool Phd socks (they're thin), mittens and face mask work fairly well. Not sure why wool is a superb fabric. The other key for me is running into the wind first and having it at my back when I am sweaty. Didn't work perfectly today, but not bad! I do find that running outside in this crap makes the normal day to day movement in it easier. Not sure that makes sense to most of you, but it must toughen you up somehow. |
