Do y'all speak French? No, she is not a DB. I can say cheese omelet... and thats about it. something about oeufs aux fromage ... Close enough. You may pass My French is so exquisitely bad that I was almost able to have a conversation with a four-year-old French girl in the Gili Islands. I used to babysit a cockatoo owned by an Oscar winner, and it would only respond to, and in, French. |

Yeah, but you actually post pics of your trips and kids sometimes. Lots of stuff I don't get, but especially the autoposts by apps like "So-and-so just checked in at Starbucks!" Wow. Profound. Now if it said something like "X just checked in at Hotel Rwanda in Kigali" (actually true from a friend of mine) I'd be impressed. Most of mine are movie, TV, or music quotes I post in the mornings while at work. It gives me something to do to keep from going postal. I like to see who gets the quotes. |

Not bad. They're not always the most scintillating of quotes, though they're usually pretty fun, and it's almost like a quiz. |

Charming as that may be, it doesn't answer your question--I actually went out and shook my azz around the neighborhood for 45min today. |

Been too sick and traveling too much back and forth to Jakarta to do quiz on Wednesdays. I miss them too. What I don't miss, though, is being packed into a room for several hours where 90% of the people are smoking. |

I think that you only qualify as the crazy cat lady, if you go to get the newspaper in a house coat, your hair in curlers, and the cats eat better than you do. |

I think that you only qualify as the crazy cat lady, if you go to get the newspaper in a house coat, your hair in curlers, and the cats eat better than you do. This is my morning routine. Wake up. Cat tail in my face. Bite tail, cat yowls but comes back for more. Need to pee. Get out of bed and open the bathroom door. Swarm of mosquitoes pours out. Slam door shut. Grab insecticide. Holding breath, open bathroom door and empty the can into there. Close door. Still need to pee. Open back door, dogs rush outside and start sniffing around. Shuffle out into backyard, squat, let go. Invariably, one of the Funny Farm members will run into me, swirl around my legs, or do something else stupid to get peed on. Shuffle back into house, grumbling, realize I'm in no shape to be up and about, go back to bed. At some point, wake up to pots and pans banging in the kitchen and sound of running water. The maid has come in and is cooking for the pets. I'm lucky if I get coffee. |

I have just gone through the weekend from H3LL... so for my 24 year old son, who just had his right hand amputated due to a stupid fireworks accident, I am thankful he is alive and that as horrible as the results are, it could have been so much worse. I am thankful for all the love and support from his friends and family, for all the prayers, the well wishes, the hugs, real and from cyber space, and I am thankful for his girlfriend who has not left his side since Saturday night and will continue to be there for him as he starts his "new" life. I have so many other things to be thankful for that seem somewhat trivial after everything that happened over the weekend. |

Pretty amazing that you are still grateful for the many good things. I will pray for your son. You probably meant to post this elsewheres, but I'm glad I saw it. |
