Austin, Texas or Jupiter, Florida | Subject: RE: TAN #185: Queens of Double EnTANdreCongrats on the new pooch. My sister is a vet and she's constantly trying to give us dogs that need homes but we think my son expedited the end of our shih-tzu/poodle mix Bobby. Can't wait to get a new dog someday. |

He's had a rough few days including an airport and plane ride and being separated from everything he knew. I can understand why he has been glued to me. He spent last night literally sleeping on me. My dog Rosie isn't quite sure what to make of him so she won't leave him alone. I have had them both following me everywhere. I'm amazed I haven't broken my neck from tripping over one or the other. That's a huge disruption for him. He'll settle in just fine in the next couple of weeks. |

I've been in the kitchen most of the day. Made fresh bagels for lunch which I started yesterday. Made pasta I fagioli soup for dinner plus an iceberg wedge salad with Roquefort dressing. Have 8 pounds of beef bones simmering since noon making beef stock for tomorrow's French onion soup. Baked a loaf of bread for dinner, but that was just frozen dough and pop in the oven. I'm a big believer in Sunday dinner. |

I need a vacation!! Somewhere with mountains and fireplace! Somewhere like central or northern CA. Anyone know how you get a person who is not ambulatory and cannot sit up for more than about 20 minutes 3/4 of the way across the country? |

The Shrimp Florentine was the best I ever made. And the weather was just perfect. Some funny stuff. I launched the boat from the trailer to return it to the dock after annual service. I was standing ont he trailer tongue trying to release the retaining pin and just lost my balance. I landed on my back in shallow water. JWKMH, "Are you alright?" Me, "No. I's soaking wet." When I got to the dock, I had to run up the hill. I wakened a snake who was sunning himself on the path. I may have been poisonous. Its head was wider than its neck. I lost at Scrabble to G3. She was pleased. |

In-defense of the Mehusband, if you lose those caps on a pre-2000 car, it's hard to remember which post is positive and which is negative. That's why I do some arc welding just to see which is which before I jump my old car... I guess no radio isn't as bad as no A/C in the summer (been there).
