I could use a holiday like that myself! - not likely though with 2 kids headed to college in the fall

soooooooo, my youngest is going out on a 'lunch date' with his new girlfriend tomorrow

i'm not really sure what to think about this

Umm bt thankful its at lunch time and that he told you about it? 

C came home from M's around 10:30.  Turns out that M & A had a little 'romantic dinner' planned for C and S (S is the girlfriend - OMG, he has a girlfriend!! - I am soooooooooooo not ready for this!)

Anyway M & A had it all set up, M called C ahead of time and asked what he was wearing - C had to put on a 'nicer' shirt for the first date occasion.  Apparently they had candles and the whole 9 yds.  M & A were the servers.

Now of course I would lose serious mom points if he knew I posted this - so DON"T tell him - LOLOL

How cute is that - C and M have known each other since they were both 3 yrs old - it will be very hard for both of them if we end up moving - they truly are life long friends at the ripe old age of 12.

When I asked C how he felt about all of it, he said - it was very nice, but a little awkward -

no kidding! It was all I could do to not laugh when I saw the 'menu' - they were all so sincere about it

Its cute! It really sounds like you have nothing to worry about at all!  

Hold onto that menu... it'll make great blackmail material later on. 

i'm sure I don't - it's just kind of weird! and the mom in my just doesn't want to see broken hearts or the drama that can go along with romance - especially yong romance

Isnt that whats its all about at high school? Drama? Conflict? and making everything a HUGE deal... the romance and going over the top because thats how you think its done?
