I am done training for the day

I did a nice brick, so now I can sit back and enjoy the rest of the day.

Plan for tomorrow is a long run, I really need to catch up as I am only at 20% with 36% of the month gone ! and then maybe an easy bike to end a very big week for me.

So I got up this morning, rode the train into the city to Central Park and checked in for a 10K. It was freakin pouring rain and the whole time as I walked from my apartment to the train, I thought "I shouldn't be doing this." I've felt really run down this week from the HIM and lack of sleep but I went anyway. After standing around in Central Park in the freezing cold and getting soaked and muddy, I realized I really shouldn't be doing it so I bagged it. I was supposed to rest today and do an easy 25" run tomorrow so it's not like a 10K was in the plan (although coach said it was ok). I was there with my ex and he did the race and I went to my gym instead, conveniently located at the corner of the park, and ran 5 on the toasty warm treadmill. I stopped short to do some foam rolling and stretching before meeting back up post-race for a giant breakfast.

I felt like a lame a$$ for skipping it but I don't want to get sick with real training starting back up next week. Now I think it's nap time!

Today I had to move over to the fast lane because I kept running into people. Imagine that!

Kristin good for you for bagging the 10k......you are very wise not to ignore your gut. Not that you have a gut. Cause you are extremely fit. But you know what I mean!!!
