shmeeg - 2010-05-15 1:33 AM Anybody ride on Neuvation wheels and have some feedback?  I know I asked about wheels before, and I know there's no NEED to get some, but I really WANT some.  Our team captain rides on C50s all the time.  They look pretty slick and seem to be quite the quality wheel for the price.  The R28X's are just a touch lighter (~200g), and a bit stronger than the Mavic's I have now, and I wipe my butt w/ 300 bucks so I figure why not :D.

BigH2OChief - 2010-05-15 7:56 PM Met up with Jay down at the beach and we got all checked in; attended the pre-race video briefing; walked the transition area, and; strolled the expo.  It was a pretty cool day and I think we collectivley have a good race plan.  Came home and went through transitions one more time, set my bib numbers, tweaked my bike, re-packed my transition bag, and got my breakfast and hydration ready for morning.  Time to kick it and watch a movie before going to bed early.  Hope I'll sleep this time.


Jay-  I went back to the Lawyers table and bought that hydration system at the club price ($35).  I couldn't get any further than you on the free masage... but did get the hula-hoop girl to do a show!  See you in Transition at 5:00 AM.

Look at this freakin run we have to do from the swim exit up into the TA to get on the bikes.  Theres another 20 feet of parking lot thats not pictured.  Guess we will have plenty of time to get our suits down. :D

Happy with my effort.  Not a PB, but within half a minute.  As I age, I celebrate these little victories!

Had an interesting chat with someone at 10k race.

Chatting with a fast late 30ish female (2nd female - 37 min).  Anyway, she was telling me she got her son to run a 5k last weekend.  He wasn't sure how far 5k was.  She was on sidelines & he looked at her at 1k, as to ask "how far"?  She said, run until you see the finish line!!

He finished in 20:24!!!!  Holy carp, I can't beat an untrained 11 year old!!

Now tell me the genetic gift means nothing!

Nice job on the 10k Richard!  I'll let Mark spill the beans about our race today whenever he gets home, because I think he is better at weilding the pen than I am.  And he usually cracks me up anyway.
