one year we made a barometer.  My grandpa mailed us a 8oz bottle of mercury...being young I didn't realize that was a bit odd.   I did notice that it was frickn heavy.

and then years down the line someone broke the barometer's  3' glass tube spilling mercury all over the family room carpet.  fun memories...chasing the dogs out and scooping up all the beaded up bits of mercury with spoons.

I pulled the NC ap. I'm staying here. There's another GS-13 in the office that I applied for today.

I've decided I'm staying in California for the time being.

I had a great time at the Tuesday night jam session at Capitol Garage last night; there's a thread I posted in COJ about it...

I hope the new position works out for you.
