aspeelma - 2009-10-29 5:34 AM Question of the day...

At a movie theater which armrest is yours?

BOTH.

ABSOLUTELY.

one of my all time favorite things to do, is to see a movie BY MYSELF.

my kids always wants to see *GASP* kid movies, which is great when im in the mood for kid movies.

my husband doesnt always want to go and see the movies i like to see, i know, *GASP*

im always into these really intense, character driven, psychologically complicated movies (like Benjamin Button as a recent example) and well, my husband, he falls asleep.

so.....i LOVE LOVE LOVE to go and see movies by myself.

the arm rests are mine

the candy is mine.

the soda is mine.

the popcorn is mine o mine.

[do you think CAVEMEN had movie theaters??]

stacieb

If they had movie theaters they too would eat candy, soda and popcorn

skrtrnr - 2009-10-29 11:58 AM im conflicted GHOULIES.

today i was 'supposed' to do a 3 miler w 8x100 striders in prep for the race on Sunday.

a) my hip is just a tad bit cranky, i think from the poking, prodding, moving and adjusting the Chiropractor did yesturday

b) im just not in the mood.

what i need is 'permission' to drop this workout, and im having a hard time giving it to myself.

that's kinda of dumb isnt it.

even as i type this, i think.  how ridiculous.

ive done every workout on my plan.  i even did INADVERTENTLY .8 xtra miles on a long run.

you'd think i could just let this one go.

but no.

im my head im thinking, im not gonna do 'as well' at this 1/2 MARY if i drop this workout.

wtFLIP?

somehow one workout TRUMPS all like a gazillion ive done (not in the mood to do the actual math, but you get my drift)

the striders really werent on my plan to do, it was a 30 min tempo.

i suppose i could see how im feeling later on, this evening, and if im feeling up to it, i could go and do a short 30 min tempo run....

tomorrow is most definately a rest day.

and on saturday i have a 1-2 mile easy planned.

maybe i should stop over thinking and just go w what my body is telling me and then tell myself its ok to listen to your body and not do the plan as is.

crimaney you'd think i lost my marbles or something.

stacieb

Drop it - your body is telling you something!

The hay is in the barn!  You will do great (and possibly better) in the H/M without the workout today.  I am surprised they have you doing intervals that close but hey what do I know.  I know we stopped intervals the week before our taper for our Mary plan and just ran race pace for our runs.  That is key - intervals won't get you anywhere for Sunday!

I second this motion. Nothing will be gained or LOST by not running today. YOU WILL ROCK THE HM ON SUNDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

RUN GHOULIE RUN!!!!

stacieb

To be honest this is the very first time I will ever hit 100% in a challenge if I remember correctly.

I always set my goal to a point where I am "Challenging" myself to obtain that goal.  Nothing out of this world like walking on the moon but where I have to push myself.

I wimped out this month and pulled sessions (this is directed to me only so if you do sessions I mean no offense at all because it is great to be training no matter how much!) because I really did not have a good feel for how far I could run easily and with pushing myself.

It worked out because of aqua jogging but I was thinking last night in the pool that I would have been stuck if I had picked miles because I am not going to do a 3 hour long run in the pool Cool

We have done great this month because a lot people have pushed themselves places they have not been before and to me that is what the challenge is all about.

So join us next month for the disdain challenge because when you learn to love that what you hate it only makes you that much stronger!

Very true Mr Graves!  I ran 38 miles last month and 60 this month...I am not sure I have ever run 60 miles in a month before.

skrtrnr - 2009-10-29 11:24 AM YES LIL BILLY GHOULIE?  WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE PART?

I do have one question.  Are we talking big ol box of tide type detergent down the tri suit or a small plastic container of the super concentrated stuff?
