Morning, TAN! 2 days MAX until FREEDOM! I guess I should start thinking about Christmas shopping, too. What to get people... what to get people. I hate buying gifts.

Office supplies?

Haha, that'd be pretty hilarious. Made even better by the fact that my sister is now the only money-winner in my family, so there is really no need for anyone to have office supplies.

Colorado = win. Everybody here says, "I couldn't live without the ocen". Even though I see salt water out of my windows, honestly, I go to the beach or enjoy the water MAYBE 20-30 days a year.

In Colorado, you open the drapes or go to the kitchen and look out the windows at the mountains every day. 300 days with sunshine a year. Arid climate, despite the snowmaggedons you see on TV. Honestly, they don't salt the roads because the sun will take care of it within half an hour after plowing the deeper stuff.

Most of the jobs were in oil and defense. Some biotech has taken root there lately.

My parents lived in Ft. Collins for 3 years and I really got an affection for CO. My aunt lived in CO Springs which is gorgeous nestled at the foot of Pikes Peak and the AF Academy. Better yet: Jackson Hole, WY.

jspelay - 2011-12-15 5:11 AM Morning TAN... Sup Cord?

Just workin.  I did decide last night that because my kids "winter break" is split in half with their mom getting the second half that I'm going to have my kids open their Xmas presents on tomorrow night. That way I can watch them play with the stuff for a week rather than giving it to them Xmas day for half a day then they go back to their house for over a week and the stuff just sitting there.

Good plan!

My bf is getting at least two of his early. He has shoulder surgery scheduled for the 20th, and two of his presents are a book and a paid Pandora subscription. Totally worth giving early!

Mostly oil and some defense. Tourism is huge (as you'd expect). Some aerospace (Lockheed), some biotech (smaller firms). Some finance in Denver proper (Janus funds).

Boulder itself is largey tied to the University. Englewood I don't know nuffin bout.

That sounds like a great idea for you to give him! What kind of surgery? Hopefully nothing major?

Good plan, I still have no idea how Christmas is going to play out for my girls and I... Things are kinda ugly right now... Guess that how these things work at first.

ahh sorry to hear that, ya we were really bad before we had an order to lay out the days (and we still fight over stuff). After xmas I would get a paper drawn up setting up visitation times for the whole year.
